Question about Samsung SCX-6345N Printer

Open Question

Can't delete an email job

I have a Samsung SCX-6345n printer, scanner, fax, etc. machine and there is 1 job in the job queue that won't go away. It keeps saying the email is transferring. It can't be deleted. This prevents any other job from processing without shutting the printer off and restarting. Then it will process 1 job and then quit working again. "Expert" says I need to replace the main board because the firmware can't be updated for some reason. Please help.

My Lexmark s605's print queue won't clear, and so the printer has stopped working altogether

Please follow the steps below to clear the print queue and restart the print spooler of your computer.

1. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET STOP SPOOLER (this will stop the print spooler service)

2. Browse to your windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ folder. You should see files there ending in .SPL and .SHD created around the time you tried to print - delete these files.

3. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET START SPOOLER (this will restart the print spooler service)

Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

My problem is lack of any kind of support from Samsung tech support. At first they tried to be helpful, but got to the point of telling me that I was a unauthorized dealer. Now they won't supply any...

Authorized dealers have the same problem. I suggest contacting an authorized dealer. Most techs will try to help over the phone.
BTW, the SCX-6345N is a mono machine. With Samsung, and SCX prefix always denotes a mono copier. The color ones are denoted with a CLX prefix.
