Question about Dell OptiPlex GX280 PC Desktop
Get High speed for the love of god.
No just kidding, i know, some of us cant afford it at home.
Most likely the phone number that the modem dials into may need to be updated for your service provider. If i remember correctly, you usualy have a list of numbers in the modem settings pick a different one.
You can also call the provider and they will help you.
I would recomend just paying the $40 a month for a cable modem and high speed and hooking straight to your network ( NIC ). Dial up is slow and you spend more time messing with dropped connections and slow speeds.
If your in an area that doesnt provide it, then i feel bad for you.
