Question about LG RUMOR Cell Phones
I have an lg optimus V that fell in water. I took off the back cover, wiped out all the water, then took out battery. put battery back in, there is power with date and time, but it is stuck in airplane mode, when i hit the power button to turn it off, the screen flashes up the option to get out of airplane mode, put on vibrate, or power off, and when i touch any of them on the screen, nothing will happen. it is also stuck in the lock mode on the main screen, and when i touch and try to slide it over to unlock, nothing will move either. So basically it is stuck on power on, in airplane mode, says no service and no touchscreen options will work. Help. Do i need a new phone, or can this be fixed?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I had the same problem and put it in a bag of rice for 48 hours. The touchscreen now works, but I can't get it to connect when making calls. I guess this is 1/2 a solution.

SOURCE: my LG lotus won't turn on.
Mine started doing the same thing yesterday. In doing a bit of research I found on the LG support forums that the phone is probably fried. The good news is that it's covered under the 1 year manufacturers warrenty and can be returned to the sprint store, or your carrier and they will replace it on site. I've already talked to Sprint and they said as long as there's no water damage or other visable signs of shock that would have caused the damage that they'll provide me with a new phone. This was a huge relief to me, I loved this phone before it went batty and really can't afford a new one.
Hope it works out for you as well.

1. Remove the back cover.
2. Remove the stylus to reveal the RESET button that is located at the bottom of the stylus compartment.
3. Use the stylus tip to press the RESET button.
Your phone restarts and displays the Home screen.
4. Replace the back cover and insert the stylus back into its compartment.

All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the LG Optimus T. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.
