If it is a moulded plug you will need to chop it off and wire on a standard 3 pin plug(if you are qualifiedor capable of doing so ) If its in guarantee though do not do this. There must be a reason it blew the fuse. If in guarantee get it repaired under the terms of the guarantee.

How do I get the outside box on the right of the oven to open electrician can see what damage has been done by plugging a USA bought one into a UK socket? More details below.

id look to see if there is any Cuisinart repair centers in your area ? not really sure what a electrician is gonna do -unless he also fixes appliances , but I will say from being one that gets lots of stuff given to me (free) that got hooked to wrong power , generally it depends on quality of device as to how much damage is done with wrong power , better quality devices have protection devices inside them that are easy to replace , but lesser quality ones have no protection in them and I just use em for parts then . I caution users of them adaptors? generally I say if it weights less than 3 pounds don't use it (yes the weight matters)

The outlet plug gets very, very hot

STOP using the unit immediately. Your plug getting very hot indicates a very poor connection somewhere between your outlet and the oven switch. This is definately a fire hazard so do not use the unit until you have found and fixed the problem. It could also be the outlet itself not making a good connection with the plug. Look at that first. If the plug doesn't fit tight in the outlet, the outlet must be replaced. If the plug is tight, you may have a switch in the oven itself with a poor connection. The oven must be taken apart to find out where the problem lies if your outlet is good. You may find parts that are melted in the oven which would indicate a problem. It's hard to say exactly what the problem is without actually looking inside the oven to see whats going on. Whatever you do, DO NOT use the oven until the problem is fixed or the oven may end up being the least of your problems...

It wont turn on model T0131SWD!!!!!!!

follow this charter troubleshooting and fix it. God bless you

  1. Inspect the power cordUnplug the power cord and check for voltage at the outlet. Also inspect for damage, shorts, or burn marks that can be a possible safety hazard.
  2. Bad door switchIf your microwave does not work at all and you know everything is plugged in properly and the outlet is functioning, then also check the door hooks and the door release button. Using a volt-ohm meter on RX1, check your terminals. When your microwave door is closed you should have a reading of zero. Once the door is open the reading should change to infinity. If these readings do not match up, replacement of the door switch is necessary.
  3. Blown fusesTo determine if your fuse has blown out, which may attribute to your microwave not running, you need to pull the fuse out using a pair of fuse pullers. Lay it down and using a volt-ohm meter on RX1, check both ends of the fuse in question. If you do not get a reading of zero, then you will need to replace the fuse.
  4. Bad fan motorLocate the fan and remove the leads. Again using the volt-ohm meter on RX1, check the terminals. If an infinity reading is displayed, it means that the fan has gone bad and requires replacement.

Hello :

You need to check the fuse . If the fuse is OK , then the proplem will be with the power PCB [ printed circuit board ] . You need to call for repairing if the problem is with the PCB .

Russell Hobbs Toaster has just stopped working

get your volt ohm meter out unplug it and disassemble it check your heating elements if there is no resistance the elements are bad. ONLY if you are comfortable with ac voltage!!! turn your meter to check ac voltage VERY CAREFULLY make sure nothing is shorted plug toaster in press toast button down. this should send voltage through thermostat to the coils . if you measure voltage across toaster switch when it is depressed the switch is bad. check your thermostat same for it if there is voltage across it it is open (bad).

Oster microwave with convection/grill

I just had the exact same problem above...
I purchased the microwave from target about 5 mos. ago payed near 200 for it..half of the time the couldnt get funtions to work well, then had heating problems until last week it nearly almost burned my kitchen up..good thing I was here.I just spent one hour at target, and of course no help..reffered me to a number, but I already know where that s going to go! Im not blaming target, but when there is a defect in the product and you can clearly see and smell that it is burnt up then, they should or the manuf. should simply replace it.It wouldnt have mattered if I had the dang receipt anyway, after 90 days in target, your screwed!
I like walmart much better, and I guess I have to go and pay another 125.00 or something for a much less complicated one.
thanks for the info above Laura florida
