Question about Panasonic TC-32LX50 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
This was given to me, so I don't have anything invested in it or anything to lose by doing some component replacement myself. What is the problem and is there a sub-$100 fix for it. It powers on green then some clicking, then red, a bit more clicking and then blinking red light. Doesn't matter whether or no there is a video input (have tried both HDMI and Component) Thanks, Stewart

If you have Comcast, you need to buy an upgraded HDTV cable. (They are avail @ Sam's Club & Radio Shack.) Instead of a six port cable, get the two port. The cable's that Comcast provides are too cheap. Hopefully though, you've already gotten rid of the lines.

I fixed it myself!
I bit the bullet and ordered a replacement Power Board for AUS$290 and swapped it out myself.
Only took ten minutes, most of that time was removing and replacing the 101 screws holding the back panel on!
Working fine again now.
I did sit the two boards side by side and noticed the new one had moved some of the micro components from the back of the board to the front plus some other small component changes.
If your handy with a screw driver and have some technical knowhow I recommend having a go at fixing it yourself as it wasn't hard and probably saved $200 in service charges (all this assuming you are out of warranty!)

Usually when you have a red tint when using the component input i'ts because the wires are switched on one end or one of the 3 video wires is bad. See if blue and green are switched.I see this all the time. Is your picture grainy on all input?

If you are connected to a cable box that is made by Scientific Atlanta you need to go into the settings and change audio output to HDMI. If it set to Dolby Digital it wont pass audio through the HDMI port.
