I have accidentally washed a necklace which was in the pocket of some trousers and it would seem it has slipped through the drum.
Is there any way of us retrieving this without completely ruining the appliance? It is a Hotpoint WD62.po

Re: Lost jewellery in washer dryer
There is a chance you may be able to retrieve it from the fiter if you have one, if not, it may have gone into the pump drain. If you still have the user instruction booklet it may show you how to check this
If not you would need to either remove the lower front panel and then undo the twist cover or turn the machine onto its side and look for a round cap at the end of a stub hose near the pump casing this sometimes has a spring clip securing it around the hose from the pump.
Remove the cap and check if possible, if nothing there, also check the pump on the inlet side by removing the hose.
Remember to disconnect the washer from the electricity supply before attempting this also turn off the water valve.

First check the lent catching screen and then the vent and hose and the ground below the vent exit. Completely clean those out. If you don't find the necklace in that process, turn the dryer on to see if it will eject the necklace into the vent hose. If it is trapped behind the drum, you should be able to hear it rattling around. However, dismantling the dryer can be dangerous so you should consider a hiring a dryer repairman to do that if it is necessary.
Youcan buy if from your locial stores If you can't find a necklace which you want to buy. You also can search for website. There are many websites provide beautiful and fashionable necklaces.such as mubuy.com,.
Check the outlet by plugging an appliance into the same outlet the
washer was plugged into an running the appliance a hair dryer works good
for this it will draw some amperage. If it works fine move on.
To check the control remove the top panel and then remove the console to
access the wiring to the control. Find the wire feeding the control
from the main power cord. If you cannot visually see this refer to the
tech sheet or service manual. Connect voltmeter to the 2 wires feeding
the control if it is recieving power and it does not respond replace the control panel.
You would need to open up the machine to get inside. If yours is a Whirlpool (also Kenmore and other brands), this page explains how to do it. Once the cover is off, have a flashlight and a brush handy so you can sweep out built-up lint and look for your lost treasure.
Overfilling loads can cause small objects like pins, coins, and small socks to get between the tub abd Basket of your washer.
The basket is held onto the rear half of the outer tub simply by the bolt to the main pulley. Remove the bolt, remove the pulley, and the basket shaft should slip right out of the bearings of the rear tub.
Simply shining a light around between the basket and outer tub should confirm that there is something in there, since you have access to do this with the front tub removed. Go ahead, remove the pulley and bolt, and if the basket comes out, then check everything out.
If it doesn't, don't try pounding it out; stop there and go to plan B, which is a new basket and tub assembly.

It is most likely that they are in the dryer if you still have not found them. Please respond with the type of dryer that you have and I should be able to assist you in opening your machine for a good look.
From what you have describe it sounds like you have an Inglis or speed queen dryer.
