Question about Hoover Vacuums
A common problem with hoover vacuum cleaners is that a wire breaks inside the insulation just where the power cable enters the machine body causing the erratic on off situation you describe.
There is a connector box inside the body of the cleaner where the cable goes in and if you can get to this you need to check the wires for breaks you will need to pinch the insulatio as the break will not be visible as it is inside the insulation. if you find the broken wire it is a matter of cutting it back and re connecting.
