sOMEHOW YOU BLEW THE 48 v PHANTOM SUPPLY.
Open it up and check power board voltages.
Replace regulator circuit and check for shorts on your mic cables.

Pulled side covers and followed the power to switch with small red button. Had power on 1 side none on other. Pressed little button and started working

Try this: Might work.

Connect the phone to a powered Clip. Phone display should give "USB cable connected" message.
Press UNLOCK button on the Clip.
Phone reloads. Within 5-10 seconds phone display gives "Waiting for PST" message.
Press 1 and 2 keys simultaneously in upper part of the handset. The phone enters boot mode (if you don't press these two keys during "Waiting for PST" message, the Clip will give red E/G led and you will have to start with step 1 again).
After 1 and 2 keys have been pressed E/G green led will blink and the phone reboots. Meanwhile E/G will give frequent green blinking and phone will turn on.
Do not disconnect cell phone from Smart-Clip while green led indicator blinks!
Green E/G led glows. The cell phone is unlocked.
Axxx/Exxx/Vxxx unlocking noteDon't unplug cable right after phone reboot, wait until E/G led stops blinking!

From the description which you are telling it seems that your phone is all right the only problem is with the on off switch which has got a dry soldering or dust particile due to which it is unable to press the connector and complete the circuit. I would recommend you to change the on off switch.

When device goes into sleep or hibernate mode the sleep led indicator might continuously glow or slowly switch on & off varying between systems.

I have the same problem. What I did several time is to actually shut down the phone, remove the battery and leave it like that for several hours (3 to 4 hours). Then, I put the battery back in the phone, and it would charge again. However, due to the long time with no battery, the phone's clock would be reset to January 2007.

I found no other work around right now. However, I have to do this more and more often, almost once a week ...
