Question about ViewSonic N1800TV 18 in. LCD Television
I have a red flickering band about an inch and a half going down the screen. From the top of the screen to the bottom. What is wrong and what can be done to fix it? You can see through it but it is very annoying.
Take your power suply into a shop and ask them to check the output voltage for AC in the B+ . Theres most likly a bad capacitor in the power supply. if its a small transformer type Buy a new one. good luck

Tips for a great answer:
These symptom seems to be caused by a
defective D or SC board but in reality, they are
caused by a defective SD board.
To confirm this, disconnect the SD board from
the SC board (Follow proper SU/SD board
If the SD is defective, the screen will have a good picture at the top half of the screen and a completely black area in the lower half of the screen.
