What do you mean by the source code? You need the universal remote codes for your TV, I assumes and posts this.
Four digit universal remote codes for LG tv are:
0004 0050 0009 0005 0227 0338 0012 0057 0080 0156
Direct Code Entry

Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

I've never been able to get a signal through any of the HDMI ports on the above TV. Any suggestions?

Do you not have to select HDMIfrom the remote control in order for it t become activated? My tv is like that.

I have a VISCO 32' tv & lost the remote. Model # VSC-32V1. I need a remote to use to get to the HDMI area. I tried a universal but it only turns it on & does channel.

Check the operation manual and note down the model number and go and fetch it from any electronics shop nearby. These are available freely now in the market.

LG 32LH40 Firmware Update. Has anybody found one? Or at least a way to update the codecs so that MKV files can be played via USB

At the following website there are lg tv firmware updates but the 32lh40 is not listed. Likely you will need to contact lg support. I was looking for one just for general maintenance on the same model.

Audio sync for a 32lh40 when watching through a hdmi connection. I believe this can be cured by a firmware upgrade. If so, where can I get the upgrade

go to LG .com or just google what your looking for it will be a dowloadable file you put on a flash drive and insert in tv's usb port

Samsung Source Options Are Missing

Is there any connection with S-Video?
If yes, you need to unplug S-Video first.

If not, better to check the Main Board.

My daughter is having the same problem with the same model tv.. I had a bit of trouble finding the manual for that tv at the RCA web-site --- but I did find it at Amazon.

Assuming you have the remote for the tv, there are instructions in the manual for setting up the relationship between the DVD player and the TV.
