Importing MSP Files into P6

I have a subcontractors file with over 4500 activities that needed to be imported into P6. I have tried to export the MSP file into a .XML format. P6 invoke a fault message that this is not the correct format. The settings in P6 was selected to import the said format. I have tried to import the said file into P6 as a .mpp file. The following happens, a fault message was delivered indicated the the file name is to long. I have rename the file with a name shorter than 40 characters. After a while and on 85% completion of the import my P6 freezes and I had to use Windows Task Manager to end Primavera P6. I also have tested the import to P6 with other .mpp file and did not experienced any problems.

I can only deducted from this is that there are some fields/info in the MSP file that causes my importing problems.

Do anybody have a suggestion in how to solve this problem. To manualy retype > 4500 activities plus resources is not an option.

The Azure Storage location that you upload your PST files to resides in the same regional Microsoft datacenter where your Office 365 organization is located. To upload them, the PST files that you want to import to Office 365 have to be located in a file share or file server in your organization.

Import windows contacts as address book fo MF 4350d printer

Being the canon will import a .cvs file you need to export the windows contacts folder into a .cvs file and then import it into the canon.

To Export the windows contact file to .cvs file (from Microsoft webpage)
To export contacts so they can be viewed by someone using another program
You can convert all your contacts at once to the format you choose so that someone using another program or a previous version of Windows can open and view them.
  1. Open Windows Contacts by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Contacts.
  2. On the toolbar, click Export, and then click one of the following formats:
    • CSV (Comma Separated Values). This is a generic file format used for exporting or importing information to and from databases or spreadsheets.
    • vCard (folder of .vcf files). This format is used by many other programs. It is typically the best format to use when sharing contacts with someone who is using an earlier version of Windows or who is using a different operating system.
  3. Click Export, select a folder where you want to store your contacts in the new format, and then click OK.
  4. When a message appears telling you that the contacts export process has completed, click OK, and then click Close.

DOS Programme to txt file

Assuming that you are not able to export the data from the
original point of sale application, which is obviously the
best choice...

1)
Try to open the file(s) with Microsoft Excel (make sure that all of Excel's input conversion filters have been installed and enabled).

Most database files are organized as a set of (nested)
two dimensional data tables, which can be individually
imported into Excel as spread sheets.

Excel is very good at detecting and converting database tables.
Other spread sheets such as Lotus 123, or Quatro pro may also
be able to do this.

2) Microsoft Access may also be capable of importing
and converting the entire database.

3) Heavy duty data-base modeling suites, such as ER-Win
by Computer Associates (CA) may also be able to import
and export the database.

4) If the files are in the open *.dbf format, then I have the binary
file specifications, which can be used to decipher the files.

5) The files may also be simple tables, which are TAB, SPACE,
or COMMA (etc.) delimited, and you should be able to recover
these with a simple notepad editor or uuedit.

6) Most DOS programs (not all) can also be run under Windows
XP, using the command prompt:

START ==> All programs ==> Accessories ==>
Command Prompt.

========================================
Most importantly, we need to know the name of the application
that created the files, or see a sample of the file, to give you
further advice.
