If so and even if so, you need to have an audio cable installed connecting the DVD drive to the Sound Card in order to get sound when playing a MUSIC CD or DVD player from that drive. So double check that inside of the PC.
Next, go into the Audio Settings in the Control Panel and make sure sound is not muted.
to convert music from cassett to disk u need to connect the cassett player headphone jack / line out jack to ur PC/laptop mike / line in jack....then play the music and record it in a software(Nero Sound editor etc)
then once that's done save it as mp3 file on to ut PC and trf it to ur cd/disk....u can just copy it as mp3 or create a music cd using Nero...from the mp3 file
the difference is if u just copy the mp3 on to the cd then only a mp3 player/mp3 music system deck can play it... if it's created as a music cd then any cd player can play it....just like any music cd that u buy in the mkt...
a 700 mb disk can hold almost 7 to 10 hrs of music in mp3 format....
but a music disk can hold only 80 mins of music
this could be a result of the software malfunction ...i'm talking about i-tunes,if your computer plays other sounds,it clearly shows that its not a problem with the sound card which is nothing but the hardware for playing sounds in the computer.
Try using a headphone or computer speaker to connect to the audio connector of your notebook and check for sound output by playing any music either from cd or on the system. If you hear sound then the problem is from the internal speakers of your notebook and should be changed otherwise the drivers are either missing or not installed at all.
i think ur local disk d is dvd writer driver.
this problem is check the dvd driver.
otherwise go and replace the dvd driver. comfirm ur dvd writer problem. other wise disc problem. please check your dvd driver.
What is your motherboard type and model? If you purchased your computer a brand new unit,a CD installerforit device drivers shouldcome with it. If you have that Device driver installer CD,try installing from the CD device installer that came with your new PC.
Go to my computer. Right click on your CD-ROM. Choose "Properties". Choose the hardware tab. Again hit the properties button and again the properties tab. Click on "Enable digital CD Audio for this CD-ROM device" and make sure there is a check mark in the box.
Click OK, then APPLY, then OK, and try play your audio CDs again.
You can use this so you don't need audio cables.
