I bought mercury PNMCP73v in march 2009. I have 3 years warranty. Now it is not working I send it to the mercury service center . but that guy is telling that it is out of warranty. What to do now...??

Go to computer shop and ask for the same motherboard model. If there is no available, buy a new motherboard which can support your CPU or processor. In that case with different motherboard some chipset might not work with your software installed in your hard disk drive from your previous defective motherboard. If not compatible you have to reformat your hard drive but back up first your files and data. Install cd driver along with new motherboard box. Have a good day!

My PC will not turn on at all and I am not sure how to tell if the motherboard is defective?

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your motherboard to your hard drive make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty

hope this helps

I remove the batery for a few minutes and now My pc don't boot...

If you removed the CMOS battery, you have reset the bios.
You may now need to enter the BIOS and change bootable drive order, and maybe enable your hard drive as a bootable drive

Data cable from cd drive

okay google these, and tell us what it is: IDE, Sata, or SCSI.
If you don't have the same connection on both the computer and drive, then you need a new drive then that has that connection, my suggestion is to go to best buy and ask them if they have a * to * (the stars are what you need, and what you have) or get a new drive with that * (one you have)

New hard drive not reconized, motherboard drivers

I had this problem on a computer recently. This particular motherboard may be needing the driver on the Windows XP SP2 disk. Your motherboard may have been made to use Microsoft SATA drivers. Othewise, there would have been a driver disk that came with the motherboard to let it see that SATA hard drive.
If it's a new hard drive, you have to reinstall the O/S so use a disk new enough to have SP2 included.

Im having serious probs here

first, ensure that only one master hard drive is connected (also disconnect cdrom(s). Next, at startup press the key (DEL or F2) to BIOS screen. then make sure that only the master hard drive in position 1 is listed or choose AUTO detect. now reboot and report if any progress. If no further progress, then master hard drive has failed somehow, but to be certain, try that drive on another pc as a slave just to test spin-up.
