Question about Vizio GV42L 42 in. LCD Television
My vizio tv is making a strange humming/buzzing noise that doesn't seem to be coming from the speakers. I run external speakers for regular sound so I know its not a speaker issue. The noise seems to be coming from the core of the TV and I can only imagine it has something to do with the picture itself... I don't know much about tv's but I do notice when its making a sound i've never heard before.
I have a vizio GV42L and it has a loud humming sound coming from it as well as pink lines running through the picture. Help please.

The TV usually hums when the backlight setting is too low. So turning
it up should get rid of the problem. To do this please follow these
1. Turn the TV on.
2. Press the Menu button on the remote, located right below the channel changing button.
3. Press the down direction button, located at the middle of the remote. Press that button until the backlight is highlighted.
4. Press the right direction button until the backlight is at 100.
5. Press the OK button and then the Exit button until you get back to your picture.
