Question about Panasonic TH-65PHD8UK 65 in. Plasma Television

Panasonic 65" TH-65PHD8UK Commercial Series RGB Problems

I have the commercial series Panasonic plasma, model TH-65PHD8UK. My television has been good to me however, the component feature is not working right.

At first I thought the problem was one of the blades, so I took the blade out of my TH-42PH9UK and put it into this television. This did NOT fix my problem. Standard video works fine, as well as VGA but I cannot get the television to display component right.

I do not have the HDMI blade to test this feature out. The television is no longer covered under warranty, manufacture date is August 2005.

Basically, what happens when I connect a component cable is the screen is pretty much green in color. Green takes over the quality of the picture, though some of the other colors do pass though.

FYI:

Yes, I am connecting the component cable correctly to the television.

Yes, I have tried switching the blade.

Yes, I have tried different cables and sources.

The closest thing I can find to your plasma TV is the Viera 65-in model TX-P65VT20E, which consumes 635 Watts. This should be close to the power budget for your unit.

Panasonic TH50PH10 Turn off Automatically

Hi, if your plasma flashes 10 times it means that there is a problem with the sustain driver. This could be an intermittent problem, such as when the set heats up. It should be returned to the dealer as it is under warranty.
