Well r u a electronics expert if no then just take it to a service centre coz the circuit have lil circuits that can get affected to and the major problem could be the switching transistor

I have a en-7100si monitor. It has been working just fine until this morning and it does not power up. when I turn it off and then on, it will flash the screen picture then go black. Can you help? ...

HI there,

I fix many lcd screens
i can tell you that its usually a result of the capacitors going bad.
If you dont mind taking the screen apart you can fix it yourself for around £3 providing you have a soldering iron and supplies.
If not you can buy a cheap iron for about £10 from maplin or similar shop.

Any caps that look buldged have blown and should be replaced.

It seems to be a common problem with your screen, you can find more information at the following link

Monitor goes blank after 5 seconds, what do i need to do?

Hello,

The picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault and will need to be replace.

I advice you replace the picture board on the screen of your monitor to solve the problem of the blank screen.

Take care.

Green light on - no picture

I would take the PC nad the monitor to the repair shop and have them find out if the PC is out back together correctly by trying with another monitor, if it works with another monitor, then you will have to take apart the monitor to inspect the inside for bad components.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

First, try this mnoitor with other PC, if it still does not work then you will have to open it up and inspect the insideand inspect the power supply section first.

When I turn on the monitor all I get is a blinking blue light I have a Samsung SyncMaster 2220 WM

I would suggest to try it on another PC first to narrow down the problem before taking h monitor apart.

Need free assistant to know if my Princenton VL1918 monitor still is OK - Screen blinks every 5 secods, not able to work.

Hello,

Blinking power lights or flashing screens usually indicates a blown power supply. Heat buildup in the monitor case causes parts called capacitors to overheat and blow out. Check out our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm We have pictures of what the blown capacitors look like. Open the back of your monitor and look for the blown caps. Replace all the ones that look like the ones in the pictures and you should be back up and running. The values you need to get are going to be marked on the sides of the ones you take out. Be sure to reinstall the new ones with the polarity stripe going the same direction as the old ones come out. You can order replacement parts from several places on the internet or we can supply them for you. You will need to use high temp caps that will be marked 105c, these are not available from Radio Shack. If you use ones that are not rated correctly then you will have more issues in a month or two. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for $35 plus return shipping.

I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

LCD Screen blinks on & Off at start up up-to about 10 minutes

Hemante, you should look for electrolytic verticle can type capacitors whose tops are not flat but slightly swollen. Also check all the soldering for COLD or THERMALLY FRACTURED solder joints on the bottom of the inverter board that powers the CCF tubes. Be sure to replace caps with only 105degC caps. NOT 85degC!!! If you have digital cam take pictures before you tear apart monitor. this way you can get it back together correctly. Hope this Helps. Good Luck!
