Question about Washing Machines
Hey there, I have a washer dryer that makes a terriblly loud noice on spin cycle, almost grinding, and to me it looks like there is 3 bolts that attaches the drum and one has come loose inside, but the washing machine guy told me it was something that got in there from my pocket I doubt that...?? Any Ideas? Do you think it is the loose bolt??
How old is this machine? Almost all the time this noise its the main bearing. You have a inner and outer drum, the outer drum is suspended on shocks and the inner drum which is only supported by the spindle going thru the bearing on the rear of the outer drum. I have seen many of these wear out. Also I have seen the main bolt on the drum pulley shear off.
