I have a horizontal coloured blur through my veiwfinder and lcd display.No visible image.Menu is still visible.

My FuJi Finepix 5000 has a purple distorted picture in both viewfinders. Photos show the same blurr. The display of of other photos is ok, so this is a lens/imaging problem. The fault was intermittant but is pretty solid now. It might have been triggered by high speed vibrations during a helicopter ride, as the camera did not like the vibrations and blocked exposure due to camera shake.

My Canon Camcorder has begun to sort of show the film in pixels with some parts of a moving object lagging behind others. Is this what you're talking about by "fragmentation"? Can anyone help?

Would a cleaning tape work?

Defective ccd imager!! company will replace this ccd imager free of charge. Year 2002 up to 2005 released unit has a factry defect ccd imager. the company recalled these unit and replaced with a stronger version of ccd imager( they are still doing it). check it out.
