I had installed the Linksys wireless card and everything was working. All of a sudden it seems to have stopped working. I uninstalled the card and reinstalled and still it says 'no association with access points'.
I'm so annoyed with this card that I'm about to throw it out! Help?!

i suggest that you install the drivers and then connect the usb card
when you see the wireless connection on the tray close to the clock, click on connection manager and click on the wireless connection that belong to you . there is two ways to manage your connection one with the software for the wireless card and also you can let windows manage the connection hope this help you
1. uninstall the WLAN monitor from add/remove programs.
2. restart computer. it should say "found new hardware" (for the WMP54GS)
3. insert the installation CD for the WMP54G, but make sure that you do not install the WLAN monitor. just install the drivers for the card.
Then let windows control the wireless.
I used to have a Linksys WPC54G. Thia is normal for the LinkSys WPC54G. How ever in your configurations make sure everything is enabled. But as this being a wireless adapter you should make sure you use AdHoc Mode configurations and set it to channel 6 works the best and set it to G-Only mode not mixed..See the network light blinks and it should be flashing fast for it to conect. I had this same problem. I decided to reconfigure my Linksys to AdHoc and it seemed to work better form me. For as the secure links I set them at non secure and I manually set up my IP Address which is 192.168.1.01-255 Sub net mask is 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway is 192.168.1.1 DCHP Server is also 192.168.1.1 I do hope this helps if it doesn't I say try moving your laptop around until your Wireless Network enables. there is always Tech Support on Linksys.com also. Good luck and I hope this works for you.
