Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I just bought a Fosmon usb 3.0 to gigabit ethernet adaptor, can i download the required driver online. I don't have a way to load the contents of the CD that came in with it.

If the computer sees the ethernet card and allows a connection then yes. Otherwise you'll have to use another computer to access their website to download to a thumb drive so you can transfer the file to your computer. CD drives are cheap. Maybe you need it get one.

First off, have a laptop - Toshiba Satellite P35-S629. The whole system is wiped out. States PXE-ROM keeps rebooting over and over. I have tried to reinstall Windows by CD but states I have no HDD...

> PXE-ROM

Your computer has a P(re) (e)X(ecution) E(nvironment), whereby it sends traffic over your network-connection, hoping to contact a "boot-server". If a "boot-server" responds, then Windows will load through your network-cable, rather than loading from your disk-drive. Really cool, eh?

> no HDD present

Either your H(ard) D(isk) D(rive):
* is getting no electrical power, i.e., push the "eject"button, and nothing happens,
* broken - the motor that spins the disks is not working, i.e., no "whirring" sound,
* broken - the "data" cable between the HDD and the motherboard is broken,
* the disk-drive itself is "dead", and cannot be accessed.

Replace the "dead" disk-drive, and you should be able to reinstall Windows.

How do I install a new printer with a broken drive door.

I think that I finally get this. You have a disk for a printer. It has a broken drive door so you can't load the drivers onto your laptop,
Almost every printer has online drivers, They will have instructions for how to use them. Load the drivers from online rather than from the disk.
If you have more than one computer, you can share the disk from one computer to the other using file sharing and download the disk info that way.

Cd-rom will not work

Hello Mike,

My name is ArmyMason. IF you are getting driver requests for you CD-ROM, its because the CD_ROM Drive is broken. I would suggest taking the CD-ROM out and replacing it with a different one to verify my solution. See CD-ROMs should ask for drivers, they should automatically be detected by the Operating System, Driver request for such devices are a normal sign that the device is broken.

Thanks,
ArmyMason
