Re: tv turns off
Ok this problem is a common one but if you never ran into it you wouldnt know. The small coil L401 from the secondary of the horizontal driver transformer to the base of the horizontal output transistor need to bee taken completely out. The enamel on the coil on both sides need to be scrapped off and NOT JUST RESOLDERED!! Then reinsert the coil into the printed circuiyt board, and then resolder. This is not a job for the amature or the di it yourselfer as way to much High Voltage to experiment with. Good Luck

Most likley what it could be is an interferance in the TV. Modern TV's have a feature that will shut itself off when it is not receving a picture. For instance, after so many minutes of "snow" it will shut off.sometimes this can make the TV think there is no signal at shut itself off.Anyway, I suspect its an interferance issue. Perhaps moving the TV further from the source of the interferance might help.
rca tv alway have that problem. you could try to clean up all control bottom in control panel or change all.if not. best thing you take down all bottom then only use remote control to operation that tv. good luck!
The keyboard switches are going bad part# 432P109010 (there are ten of them). To verify this, disconnect the connecting wire to the keyboard pc board and see if you still have the problem- the remote will still function normal- the green power led will not light up when you power on the TV with it disconnected
so listen for the click and wait for the TV to power up when you use the remote.
In order to determine whether it is the TV itself or something in the room that is causing the problem, place an object in front of the infrared eye on the TV. This is usually a transparent red plastic window on the front of the TV somewhere. Verify that it is covered by trying (and hopefully failing) to use the remote.
If the TV continues to turn itself on and off, then it is the TVs internal circuitry. If the behavior stops, then it is something in the room.
One of the more surprising causes for behavior like this is sunlight hitting rotating ceiling fans -- the light reflects off the fan at just the right frequency to fool the TV. I mention this so you don't limit yourself to only thinking that it must be either the TV or the remote.
