Help fix screen t.v.

I have a blank screen the red lights on but no activity

Red light (below screen) stays red, but set won't turn on. It does blink quickly, when power button is depressed.

I have the same problem: Set will remain in standby (red LED on) but will not power up either from remote or at the set (green LED flickers for a moment and then changes back to red.)

The new AC adapter sounds like a likely fix, but can you confirm the dimensions of the plug? Most 12v/5a adapter plugs are described as 5.5mm x 2.5mm, not 2.1 mm.
    Thanks for the help!

What red light are you referring to? If you are talking about the red l-e-d power light beneath the screen, that is the power off light. If that red light light momentarily turns green and then immediately red again when you are attempting to turn the tv on, that indicates a bad power supply.

The 12 volt power supply is bad. Go to ebay look for 120 volt ac input and 12 dc output @5 amps.
The output plug is 5.5mm x 2.1mm in size. Look at polarity symbol to be sure the + is the center hole. They are about $16.00.

You are correct, it is indeed 2.5mm a .0157 thousandths of an inch difference.

ten thousandths, not thousandths or 16 thousandths rounded off.

just let me know if their is a sound when you turn on the tv then the only problem is black screen. if you can get sound tried to press the channel up/down button let see if you can get a channel. if you hear that receive channel that was mean the problem is either the screen back light get busted or the power inverter is defective. hope this can help good luck.

My hp laptop dv6305us screen is blank power light is on but screen is totally blank.

The DV6000 series of notebooks are known to have problematic motherboards. Try the below options:

1) Hold the power button down for 5 second and the machine should shutdown. Then power on again.

or

2) Flip the laptop over and switch the "lock" switch to "unlock". Then flip the release button to remove the battery for a few seconds. Put the battery back in and try to power the laptop on.

or

3) Power on the notebook like normal. Watch the Hard Drive activity light (the one that looks like 3 stacked plates), if the screen is blank and the activity light is solid or flashing, you know that the LCD screen is bad and needs to be replaced. If that light is not flashing then the problem is your motherboard and it needs to be replaced. Call HP and ask them if your model was part of a DV6000 series recall, if so your repair costs might be covered.

My laptop will not load up it is charging and the power light is on but there is just a blank scrren please help my i just bought it

Can you hear it doing various thinks, ie the hard drive light activity, whilst the screen is blank?
I am thinking that the button the change the screen to the TV or scart socket has bee pressed which means you can choose between the laptop screen and tv screen or an external monitor.

Usually actived unsing combine "function" and "CRT/LCD" buttons (or similar names).

The TV screen just went blank!!!!

usually the lamp light blinking red is an indication that the lamp has malfunctioned. Try removing the lamp housing and reinsertng it. if that doesnt help you will need a new lamp or ballast. most likely the lamp
