Don't hear audio in multitrack

When I open a wav. file in Edit View...I hear the audio.

When I drag a wav. file into Multi Track View...I hear nothing.

These are PMC wav files at 44100, 16 bits

I've restarted my computer.
I've saved the audio to my desktop and imported it from the desktop.
The volume tabs on the audio are up full.
Mute button not pressed
Solo button not pressed
Preview Audio set at neutral zero

Please help.
