I have a Sony KV-32S66 - it's not 10 years old yet. Out of the blue yesterday, it had intermittent problem where the screen "rolled" up, leaving about 6 inches at the bottom, of the screen blank, and the top 2/3 of the screen had the top of the screen cut off (couldn't see it), and what you can see has a bunch of thin black horizontal lines running across it. Just out of curiousity, I smacked the right side of the TV, back towards the back, and the picture popped back to normal - for awhile. Occasionally smacking it works, occasionally not. Sound is fine, picture is wonky. I've scheduled a repair guy to come over, but I'm juse wondering if it's worth it.
Thanks for any ideas.

Thank you!
Do you think it's worth paying to fix? The service guy is charging $88 just to make a house call, and then $75 an hour plus parts?
And this morning, it was going black screen with the red stand by light blinking constantly (no discernable pattern to the blinking) I whacked it again, but it didn't go back to normal. Turning it off and on a couple of times restored the picture, but I just wonder if I ought to give up the ghost and buy a new TV.
