SOURCE: won't respond to volume or channel changes red light blinks 20x's when turned off.

It's definitely a firmware problem. I called Panasonic and they were very polite about the entire situation and sent me a SD card with the firmware update. If you don't have time and you're tired of listening to tv at the same volume there is a way to do a hard reset.

I figured that unplugging the unit would do this, but there is one other step that you have to do to ensure that this works.

Generally the power button on the tv is always in the "on" position, this is what allows the remote to work. In order to do a hard reset the on/off button must be in the off position. Make sure that is off, then unplug the unit, let it sit there for a minute or two and plug it back in. If the tv comes back on as soon as you plug it back into the wall/powerstrip then the button was not in the off position.

This isn't the best fix, you'll still need to get the firmware update but it will at least give you the ability to use your tv normally....well until it decides to randomly lock up on you again and you have to do this all over.

Cambridge Audio Azur 640A V2.0 not reacting to remote control

If your Cambridge Audio Azur 640A V2.0 amplifier is not responding to the volume buttons on the remote control, there could be a few possible causes. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the batteries: Make sure that the batteries in the remote control are fresh and inserted correctly.
  2. Check the remote sensor: Make sure that the remote sensor on the amplifier is not blocked or covered by anything. Also, ensure that the remote sensor is pointing towards the remote control.
  3. Check the remote control functions: Make sure that the remote control is in the correct mode, and that you are pressing the correct buttons for the volume control.
  4. Check the connection: Make sure all the connections between the amplifier and other components are secure and tight.
  5. Check the potentiometer: The potentiometer (also known as the volume control) is the component responsible for controlling the volume of the amplifier. If the potentiometer is not functioning properly, then the amplifier will not respond to the volume buttons on the remote control.
  6. Contact Cambridge Audio: If you have tried all of the above steps and are still unable to get the remote control to work, contact Cambridge Audio technical support for further assistance. They will be able to provide you with additional troubleshooting steps or advice, or they may need to send a technician to repair or replace the amplifier

Bush lcd42f1080p100hz remote will not turn tv on

I had come home about a week ago and pushed the power button from my remote but my tv did not respond. So I just went to the front panel and pushed power but once the tv turned on, the volume was on full blast! I used the front panel volume decrease to get the volume down, but when I stopped pushing the button, the tv increased its volume to full blast again by itself! Naturally I just turned the tv off for a few moments. I tried the remote again, no response again, so I used the panel power button. The tv volume was still full blast when it turned on but after I decreased the volume it stayed this time. The picture is and has been perfectly fine and the tv was working fine. The next day the problem started all over and now once we turned it off from frustration of having to manually use the panel to change channels, it now will not turn on at all. I have changed batteries from my remote, reprogrammed my remote, pushed system reset several times, unplugged it for a while, bought a new surge charge, and even held the menu and device panel buttons for 10 sec and tried to turn the t.v. on again! What other options do I have or what may be the issue at hand and possible parts that may need to be replaced?? Thanks!!

Have you checked your remote to see if its working? If you have a digital camera or camera phone, point the remote at the lense and see if it shows up on camera screen. If it is working then the IR sensor on the tv could be bad.

This is caused by radio frequency and what i mean by that isyour tv unit is gettng confused with the crystals that control the connection between the tv and remote. The solution to this is to go to wal mart and buy a new universal remote and in the package should be an instruction manual to set the remote to the tv , First find your tv name in the pamplet, second there will show a code of the remote type it in and enjoy.
