Question about ASUS A8V-MX Motherboard
my board (k8v-mx) is just over a year old (in purchase). a few weeks ago, I noticed the system would just freeze up every now and then. I dont use this as my primary computer but there are things I only do this computer (copyright stuff). Recently, I went to start it up to begin transferring licensed/lease numbers to new pc and all the lights comes on, fans (all five) working, power light on board is working, power indicator light on. Drive light stays on about 10-15 seconds then go out. Nothing at all is ever displayed to screen nor at any time any series of beeps occurs. If you have no solution to this problem can you suggest a simular board replacement that I can power up and transfer all that I want from the old drive? Many thanks in advance.
Try removing the memory cards and leave them blank. Turn on the power. If you notice beeps, the memory cards may be at fault. If not, there is a problem with your motherboard
