Okay. Can you tell me how to open the laptop to access the screws? From bottom? From top?

    Thanks!

You will need to open up your laptop and remove the screws that holds your drive from the inside

you will have to carefully remove the plastic cover on top of the keyboard (depends on the archtecture of diff. models) remember that these plastic covers are clipped to one another so there are no screws. after removing the cover remove first the screws that holds the keyboard and the ribbon cable attach to the motherboard. then you will see your cd-rom drive.

Hi Welcome to FixYa! You dont have to worry. You could buy a retail copy of Windows XP from a computer store.
Then, if its with the drivers for your computer that you are worrying about, you could refer to the link below so that you could download the appropriate drivers for it: http://tinyurl.com/L15-S104

Hope this would be a big help!

Hello,

Do you mean how to eject the CD from the laptop?

You just have to press a button on the CD-drive itself to release the CD.

If you need assitance, please post back more info regarding the problem.

How to change the cd player on a toshiba L10

The cd-rom drive on most toshiba laptops has one screw on the bottom or on the top under the keyboard that you simply remove and you can just pull the cd-rom drive out and put another one in. Below is a website that has dismantling instructions.

Replacing a cd-rom drive

Most notebook optical drives are not too bad, usually only 1 or 2 screws hold the optical drive in from the bottom. Remove the screws, pop out the drive and pop in the new one. For the drive, try here:
