My heat runs, but does not shut off......my ac is not working..I need help with which wire goes where on the CT87N??? I currently have the blue wire in the W , the red wire in G, the green wire in R,...

I'm not sure if you received my clarification request or not. I will assume that the only colors you have for wire are what you stated in your problem description. Attach the red wire to R, the green wire to G, the white wire to W and the blue wire to Y..

After you have done this, make sure to look in the air handler to be sure the wires are tied to the same terminals inside as there should be a terminal board for them.

I hope this helps you get cool.

I am wiring a honeywell thermostat model number ct87n if I select fan on the fan runs when out on auto /heat nothing but if I put on auto / cool and adjust the dial to a low setting the hea comes on....

there is it all depends on how many strands of wire are in there, they start at 2 wire and go to i think 8 wire and maybe more.
The wires are as follows:
1. red = power to stat.
2. green = fan control
3. blue or yellow = ac
4. white = heat
w1 = 1st. stage heat
w2 = 2nd. stage heat.
i am on line if you have any questions. wally

Can you give me wiring diagram for honeywell thermostat RTH6300B1005-0825

http://customer.honeywell.com/TechLit/pdf/69-0000s/69-1717.pdf that is the best I can give, as wiring is dependent on the type of equipment that you are controlling with the thermostat. Be sure to cut your power supply off before you start or you'll need a new transformer and a wiring diagram for your furnace too.

Honeywell s861ou 3009 intermittent pilot module, i just installed this control on my furnace. I have one wire left from my old johnson control. this wire either goes to the draft fan or the burnham logic...

What is the wire on the old control.....what terminal is it on??....When replacing old controls the new ones often have different terminals and sometimes incorporate some terminal internally etc....the Wiring Diagram included should be followed exact....if it's working fineit's likely ok....if you have any doubt have it looked at by an expert

Changing out old thermostat

your old thermostat is a milivolt and the wire runs from the heater to the thermostat. You have to open the back of the new one and connect the wire as per the instructions on the wireing diagram that came with the new one. I just installed a similar one myself, you will be very happy with it.
