Moen single tub shower handle insatll

I removed my tub shower handle and can't remember how to replace.
It sounds easy but it's not so far.
It's a Moen single handle ( hot & cold in one).

I just can't figure out how the nylon bushings are suppose to go and I've tried many configurations and still can't get it to operate the way it did before the handle broke.

The valve has a faceplate that attaches with two screws and depicts the hot and cold mixing scheme on it. in the center of this is where the valve stem is located. It has a chrome escutcheon that slides into the faceplate and over the stem. There is a small -U- schaped clip that slides into the top of the valve body where the valve stem is seated that retains the valve stem. With all this in place all you have left is the acylic handle that has a unique shape to it on the internal portion that corresponds to the shape and position of the valve stm. Align the handle and stem and push the handle on. A small screw goes into the center of the handle to attach it to the valve stem. LASTLY you should have the acrylic button that covers the screw holding the handle on. All you do is align it appropriately and push the button onto the handle. The chrome handle version is essentially the same but is retained by a small allen screw on the underside of the base of the handle. I hope this assists you and thanks for using Fix Ya. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

if hot water comes on first you will need to remove the handle and turn the stem one half turn then replace the handle.this will flip the hot and cold position note; you will not be removing the cartridge or the retainer clip so there is no need to shut off the water to your house

My single moen posi temp shower knob wil not completely turn off my water. In the closed position it still runs a slow stream of water.

Remove the handle and see if it will turn off without the handle and if it will reposition the handle alignment and your good to go. If no the cartridge will need to be replaced.

How to change from a 2 handle plumbed in shower to a Moen One handle tub/shower trim

Moen makes a cover plate to fit over the 2 handle holes. I don't know the number off the top of my head but I have used alot of them. It alows you to cut a large enough hole to gain access to the old valve and replace it with a new single handle.

I have a Moen shower tub single handle from the

I took the parts to the Menards in town. Luckily I found the guy that knows it all! He showed me the rubber gasket( that holds the ball) to purchase as well as recommended that the 2 small rubber gaskets that were in there to be replaced as well while I had it open to avoid doing this in the future. I got home and replaced them and no leaks:) Thanks:)

Moen shower/tub faucet

hi... yes that's a very common issue with moen "cartridges" -- it's very simple to fix..... grasp the handle and give it a gentle tug upwards when the water is on... if it retracts again, pull the handle out again and tug again but this time a bit harder. Not sure what causes this on new cartridges but it will fix your issue.
