You need to un-plug the phone remove the "mods" plug it back in and let it read not ready, turn the phone off. plug the "mods" back in ,turn the phone back on, so it can read them sequentially the should reset the system and let it "boot up" properly.
give that a shot...it should resolve this minor inconvenience.

If it has a battery in it, unplug the phone from the power socket and let it run dead. Then plug it back up and once it comes on, reset it (if possible) and let it charge up completely. It should work.

Try this: unplug all of the cords from the phone and take the battery out(if it has one) and let it sit for a while while it loses memory of what it has been doing. Put every cord in except the power cord and let it sit for 2 minutes. Then put the battery in if it has one, and plug back in the power cord. That should work.

Try recycing the power on that...hook up the two modules with power off, then turn power on..it is possible that connecting them while on, would glitch the system

How to receive a fax

  1. Connect the multi-function printer to a phone line. Most printers with fax capability have more than one phone jack, so make sure you are plugged into the right one.

  2. Turn the printer on and access the start-up menu. Pick an answering mode based on your expected usage of the fax capabilities of your machine (see the next steps for more information about this).

  3. Put the printer in manual mode if you expect little fax traffic. The manual mode usually requires you to pick up every call that comes to the machine. If you hear the signal for a fax, you push the start button and hang up.

  4. Choose the automatic mode if you expect a lot of faxes or have a dedicated fax line. In automatic mode, the printer listens to incoming calls and determines whether they are faxes or voice calls. Voice calls get sent on to your phone, and faxes are picked up by the printer.

  5. Select the number of rings you want your multi-function printer to give you before dropping a call. If you are using the manual mode you may want to go with four or more rings. Two rings should be sufficient in the automatic mode.

  6. Load paper into the paper tray. Check on the paper level frequently if you receive a lot of faxes.

  7. Set the desired print quality, and you are ready to receive faxes.

Hi, the incoming message red light is staying on. However all new incoming messages have been cleared. How do I fix this ?? Thank you DOnna

2 ways to clear this (most likely someone tried to intercom you and pressed the message button on accident instead of hanging up):

way #1:
1) press the "MESSAGE" button
2) on the screen it will display who turned on your message light
3) press the "CLEAR" button (third button from the left directly under the screen)

way #2:
1) press "INTERCOM"
2) dial " *700 " then your extension number (you will hear a confirmation tone)
3) hang up

INCOMING CALLS

Not sure it this is a solution for ALL your problems, but...

I had a similar issue: Phone rings, caller ID info displays then seems to hesitate, then displays only "INCOMING CALL."

The issue seemed to be caused by interference with other devices on the same line (in my case, an alarm system).

Tech support had me change a setting on my TRU9466 base unit (this is one of the PowerMax 5.8ghz models). This is how we did it step-by-step on the base unit:

MENU
GLOBAL SETUP
IN-USE LINE SETUP
select LINE 1
switch to TYPE B

This seems to have solved the Caller ID "interference" issue -- my Caller ID now displays as it should. The Tech Support person suggested trying that TYPE A/TYPE B setting on "OFF" if TYPE B didn't solve the problem, but thankfully, it did.

Now Cheryl, it sounds like your issue is more involved than this -- I didn't have any connection problems -- but perhaps they're related -- you might try my solution.

I disconnect from a call; Plantronics Explorer powers down

When you hang up from calls you are holding in the button for more than 2 seconds...This is way too long and it shuts off the headset. When you hang up, all you have to do is press the button quickly, until it clicks, and the call is disconnected. Anything more than a second or two will turn off the headset, as explained in the manual. Holding it in when a call comes in will make the phone "ignore" the incoming call. Again, all you need is a quick push of the button until it "clicks" will answer the call, the same as hanging it up. I hope this helps you!
