Hi,
you can use the installation CD and re-run the installation application.

1. Install the drivers that came with the Webcam if you can't find the CD go to logitech's website and download the latest drivers.

2. Plug the Webcam into a different USB port and then re-config the webcam.

Troubleshooting

Instructional steps to follow
  1. Verify that the Logitech webcam is connected to your computer if your computer doesn't register its existence, if the webcam's power light isn't glowing or if no image shows on your webcam software. The webcam's USB cord should be firmly inserted into an open USB slot. For the best results, use a USB port on your computer instead of a port on a peripheral device like a USB hub or a keyboard.
  2. Adjust your room's lighting if the Logitech webcam image is excessively dark. Logitech's cameras have no built-in light. For the best viewing image, your light source should come from behind the Logitech webcam instead of shining into the webcam's lens.

  3. Quit any open programs other than the software that's using the Logitech webcam if you get errors regarding more than one program trying to use the camera (e.g., a chat software and a voice-over-IP program both trying to use it at once). This can create data problems and software conflicts.
  4. Check for updates to your Logitech drivers from Logitech's support site. The company regularly releases software updates and patches that resolve commonly encountered glitches and problems. Download the patch and double-click it to initiate an automated installation process. Your computer typically needs to be restarted before you can resume use of the Logitech device.
  5. Contact Logitech's webcam support line at 646-454-3209 if you still cannot get your webcam to work correctly. Support technicians are available weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST and on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST. Have your model and 10-digit part number ready. Such numbers are usually located on the bottom of the webcam or on its packaging.

You can download what you need from the Logitech site. You didn't say which OS you are working on, so I can't give you a specific URL. (but if it's XP, give this link a shot...)

I am not a computer person.I was wondering if logitech webcam C250h will work with skype?

Yes, I have a Logitech WEBcam (not the same model) and I use Skype.
After you installed Skype then :-
To test if the Logitech QuickCam is functioning, check the USB cable; make sure it is connected properly. Then click on Start - All Program - Logitech - Logitech QuickCam and see if you can get the camera to capture your image/video.
If this works then the fault is with the Skype configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - Video Settings and select the Logitech QuickCam
Also check the Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.
Avoid connecting the WEBcam to an USB hub.

Logitech quickcam fusion camera is in use

Webcam software is notorious for remaining hooked up on old programs it was used in - even if you have exited the program correctly. You have to reboot the software by unplugging the camera for a few seconds from the USB
If you want further advice visit the Logitech website - Identify your camera and click on it to navigate to the support page for your model

Logitech Video cam 9000 with Fedora 12, no video is obtained with Skype , which comes up, gets its password, says something about another version, or starts, but does not use video Radha Krishna...

When you connect the Logitech WEBcam to the computer/laptop and configured the Skype Video Options for LogitechWEBcam and when you open Skype again you get a different WEBcam even though had saved the settings.
The fix - connect the Logitech WEBcam directly into the
computer's or laptop's USB port, DON't connect the WEBcam into an USB hub and then the USB hub into the compurer's or laptop's USB port.

I have the same WebCam and am experiencing the same problem.

I suspect that the voltage drop across the lead is enough to prevent the webcam from working.

The file LV561AV.SYS on logitech USB Video camera Disk is needed

If you have driver/software CD of that webcam, then please try to reinstall it. It might work. If not then...

The same file is also available with Logitech Webcam

This is the site where you can download the Logitech drivers...
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/435/4266&cl=us,en?WT.ac=sc|downloads||dd

After downloading all the driver files... you can look for the file LV561AV.sys in it.

This is all I could find.

Please Rate if you find the above info of any use.
