I inherited a HP 1220C printer at work with no software. When looking at the printed page it is as if the font is too big for the entire report to print as portrait. The right side is cut off. I have tried to print Landscape but then it cuts off the bottom. Also, I went to the HP website & downloaded the driver, software & manual. I have tried to find a solution there but had no luck. A file called Toolbox was included with this information but I cannot figure out how to open or install it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try to reinstall the printer driver from the PC, ie, if you still have the CD. Otherwise download drivers from printer manufacturer's website. You have not provided any details on the printer model.
I am assuming you have a direct network connection to the printer. If more than one PC is connected using a router, then try with one PC connected directly to the printer first. You can reconnect through router after everything is working. Print Test page from the printer preferences menu.
why big card and little card? well on cell phones they have gone smaller than 10 years ago, so the memory chips fro them has gone small to, if you have a memory card reader usually you will need to use a micro sd adapter so it will make the little one into standar SD size, and it will fit in any card reader machine even at walgreens, target, walmart etc.
in this case you don't need any special software.
if you try to connect the phone directly to the pc in most of the cases a DRIVER is needed for you phone work as a external mini harddrive !.
hope it isthe answer you are looking for.
Try going into Kaspersky, settings, firewall, and then select the network tab. Under the local network tab you may find the security is set too high, and this is what is blocking the print run. Settings from high to low are Public > Local > Trusted. Change the security setting down for your LAN the printer is on to Local, or trusted if you know what you are doing. Worked for me. I had similar problem - printing worked, then installed Kaspersky on all machines and printing became erratic on wife's laptop.I had different settings on the wife's network settings for her wireless and wired LAN, and I think the erratic behaviour came from fact that one of them was public, and one local. Changed down and all was fixed.
ensure that your notebook has all the updated drivers, if remote device is working and your notebook is not able to detect it. then there might be following issue.
* your cable is faulty
* necessary driver has not been installed on your notebook
work around: check above options and try
Can you log into the Storage Router? The question is, where can you see the printer? If you can see it on the Router but not on the notebook, the problem is with the Router... if the Router sees it fine, you may have a presentation problem. Let us know.
