Did you install the wireless drivers?
Did you connect your device to your network?
Did you see any network available?

Accidentally deleted files

Do a system restore. Go to Start or the Pearl Button or Windows Button. Click Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

Select a restoration point. Make sure that it is before you deleted the files. Launch it and check if it's going to work or not. Come back to me if you need help

How do u find the button to make sure the wireless is on

Hi there!
Depend on the brand of laptops, the position of wireless button is located in different places. Most of the cases, it stays in the front or in the left side of your laptop. It will have the sign or word written to let you know which way to turn on or off the wireless adapter. There is also a wireless light to confirm that the wireless is on or off. And the Fn + Fwireless to turn the wireless adapter on or off too.
So you have : when wireless button is set to Off, whatever you do on laptop still not make the wireless working.
If wireless button is set to On, you still need to press Fn+Fwireless to turn on the wireless.

I don't know you understand or not because it quite messy explaination. I don't know why all laptops have to have 2 places to turn on and off wireless adapter. One place is enough.
Hope this will help. Thanks for reading

My wireless button doesn't seem to be working....i press it and nothing happens...i already installed all of the drivers from the hp site but still no result:((

Im not sure how long ago your wireless stopped working..

But my first suggestion would be to do a system restore back to before the wireless driver stopped working.

You can do a system restore via , start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.

I just recently got wireless internet. It was

Hard to say what the issue is based on the information you provided.. There are actually a lot of reasons you might have lost the connection.
I'd start by verifying that you're connected to the wireless network that you set up. Did you name it? Open your network properties and see what the icon for the wireless adapter tells you:
- Are you connected? - Are you connected to the proper network? - Is your network card "disabled" for some reason? Some laptops have a disable button that overrides the card so the wireless radio can be shut off quickly and easily. Make sure it's not been tripped. Usually laptops have an LED to indicate if the wireless radio is running.. usually blue.
note1: be sure to check the "order of preferred networks" and from that screen delete all wireless networks you won't connect to somewhat regularly and/or ones you've connected to accidentally in the past. Make sure that your home network is tops in the list.
note2: if you did not create your own name for your wireless network and are still running the default name, it's definitely smart to change that. Your laptop can easily get confused with other networks in the neighborhood that have the same name.
Hope that helps.

Wireless button won't come on

Please backup all you files to a dvd or external hard drive and run system restore back to factory default settings.

After backing up the documents, restart system and hold down f11 key till you hear a beep then follow the prompt.

Cheers and rate this.

"Recovery" folder in my D: drive taking up space. I can't access it.

That is your recovery partition. If you were to run system restore or I beleive on that paticular computer if you were to hit f10 when the system is booting it would also run the system restore. This will restore the computer back to the way it was originally from the factory. You dont want to lose or erase that partition or the only way to reformat would be with an OS disk and you might have to go hunting for drivers.

Model = Philips freevents X50 NoteBook F12DT Say, I wonder if you can help? Clearing up some space, deleting some old 'files' from 1995, I thought I was safe. It appears I may have deleted the Drivers...

If you have only done this recently, have you tried restoring your laptop to a date prior to losing the drivers. It does mean that any other changes you have made will also be restored so any updates will have to be done again.

No wireless connection with laptop Presario R3000 (anymore!)

If your volume buttons don't work either this should help. Place your laptop on a table and press down on the lower right of the computer(under the arrows near the microphone and headphone symbol) or clamp down on the battery compartment (center). The blue light on the corner should illuminate, if it's off press the network button while putting pressure(the indented one on the right front edge) you shoud hear a double ping sound. I put a thick felt pad between the battery and the computer andnow everthing works. I know it sounds really STUPID but it works.

GOOD LUCK

Richard.
