Question about Xerox WorkCentre XD120f Copier

I am getting an error message "H-4" on my copier. Xerox says that they do not service these anymore. ???

Well if you depend on Xerox service, then you have a problem. They are getting out of the service business. But there are tons of Xerox dealer service and independand service that service that product. But you do NOT need a service call. Do this reset and it will correct your problem. This WILL work.

  1. Find the pink Clear button on the Control Panel of the WorkCentre.
  2. Find the button below the word Auto.
  3. Press these buttons in the following sequence: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] NOTE: All of the lights on the Control Panel should go out and the LED Display should go blank. If the lights do not go out, then repeat step 3 until they do. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the pace of the [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] sequence.
  4. Press the [10's] key one time and the [1's] key four times to enter '14' in the LED Display, as if you were to make 14 copies.
  5. Press the green [Start] button.
  6. Press the pink [Clear] button two times.
  7. The WorkCentre should now warm up and come to ready.
  8. If the above steps do not clear the error code, repeat steps several times

Xerox 4250 photoreceptor error


I have a Xerox 4250. After the ink cartridge ran out I replaced it with a new one and got the "replace photoreceptor cartridge" message. Reinserted the cartridge and it stayed. Called Xerox and they couldn't explain. I turned the machine off and on and the message changed to "replace photoreceptor cartridge" but an additional message of replace Smart Drum came up. I replaced the Smart Drum and it is working fine now. Note: I really don't think it was time to replace the Smart Drum. But the nearest authorized service provider was 3.5 hours away and this had to be cheaper than a service call from that distance.

Flashing message "service needed" code


That is a jet stack heat error.
Most likely problems
Bad Ink Loader
Bad Print Head
Bad Pre heater.

The Left Jetstack is drawing less power than expected. My guess would be a bad printhead.

It means you need to replace the fuser rear cooling fan the part number is 116-1024-00. New it is about 100 dollars you can find a refurbished one for 35 to 40 dollars. I am sorry i dont know anyone the the dc area that services printers.

Workcentre Pro 245 shows an "Internal Power Supply Failure". We just got the machine and it tested OK. We moved it carefully and tested it again OK. But an hour later, it showed this error...


There are 4 solutions to try and they don't fit in their entirety so I included links to each one. Please be sure to read the instructions entirely AND ensure you need to perform each one.

If none of those fail to resolve it call for service.

The printer is "stopped" and when I click on


I believe the print service spooler service had stop. here the software to fix it automatically. http://www.out-of-warranty.com/print-diagnostic-utility-for-hp-lexmark-canon-dell-xerox-and-everything-else/. Download the print diagnostic utility, unzip it and install it to your computer.

I Have a Xerox colour printer 621 and getting the error message (power off, wait 5 seconds then switch on (15-384) or call for service quote on the above fault code) what dose this mean?


Your printer power supply internal is not proper, get help from service provider by telling them error code (15-384), if possible they will try tell u solution online or will attend the complaint.
