SOURCE: I start the machine, it runs till it would appear

disconnect machine from mains electric supply. remove top cover of machine then check the back of the control panel for a small black pipe, it should be attached to a small nipple in the panel rear if it is not you will get the fault you describe. if the pipe is connected remove it and blow down pipe with your mouth or a foot pump to remove any blockage then reconnect it and try the machine again. check also that the pipe is not trapped or kinked too i hope this helps you

I have a Dyson washing machine, CR01. The plug on my coin trap snapped while I was trying to empty it as the display suggested. I can't believe I'm going to have to buy a new washer for the sake of a piece...

Hi Christine, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear about the damage to your CR01's coin trap plug. Both the plug and the coin trap window are designed to be replaceable individually if needed, but unfortunately due to the age of this machine we're no longer able to source many key parts from our suppliers. Therefore since December 2012, we've been unable to support CR01 and CR02 washing machines with spare parts or servicing.

You may be able to find these parts for sale from other online retailers, although we wouldn't be able to recommend any specific retailers.

I'm sorry we're not able to help further in this particular instance. If you'd like to discuss your concerns with the Dyson UK Customer Helpline, you're welcome to give us a call on 0800 298 0298. We're available from 8am-8pm from Monday to Friday, and 8am-6pm on weekends. Calls are free from UK landlines.

How can I repair a leak from underneath the coin trap of my Dyson Washing Machine?

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

I can recommend a couple of checks that should help. Firstly, it's important to make sure the coin trap window is correctly rotated into position (one and a half turns clockwise) ensuring the childproof tab clicks into place. Check the plug is also pushed fully back into place: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/cr01/cro1-flowcheck-white/maintaining-your-dyson-machine/check-the-coin-trap-step-1

It's also a good idea to check the seal within the coin trap is correctly in position, and hasn't been damaged in any way.

Unfortunately if the coin trap or surrounding components have been damaged, we've been unable to provide spares or servicing for CR01 or CR02 washing machines since December 2012. If you'd like to discuss this with the Dyson UK Customer Helpline, you're welcome to call us on 0800 298 0298.

Why washer leak from the bottom

You would need to try to clean out the coin trap in the bottom of the unit.

    1. Unplug the unit.

    2. Tilt the unit up to where the front feet are in the air and the back feet are still on the ground. Please make sure the unit is propped up safely.

    3. Now that the unit is propped up look inside on the bottom right hand side there is a black looking accordion thing. This is the coin trap.

    4. Clean the drum out with as much water as possible and have towels ready. The next step you will have the remaining water come out.

    5. At the top of the coin trap where it is attached to the drum is a silver spring with a silver screw. Loosen the screw and wiggle the coin trap down from the drum.

    5. Reach inside the coin trap and clean what is inside of it out.

    6. Put the unit back together following the same steps backwards

Our Dyson CRO1 front load Washer can not empty holes and complaining of coin stack in there. We have checked but there is coin in there, can you please help us?

if your machine runs ok until this point then try giving the filter cover a gentle tap
my machine had this problem due to the pump jamming
there was nothing in the coin trap but the pump itself was jamming i fitted a replacement pump it now works ok.to open the cointrap. you will need the dyson spanner or a small flat screwdriver to lift the lock on the cover it then unscrews anticlockwise. more information can be found in the instruction manual
if you have lost or mislaid them a download is available on the dyson web site
if you are unsure how to repair your machine a call to dyson will be needed
they will repair and test your machine
