Re: picture

Sounds like you have a power regulator problem, a horizontal width problwm or a pincussion problem.. Im betting on the power regulator IC as i have seen it a hundred times.. This should only be repaired by a quilified technician and should run you in the area of 150 to 200 bucks if this is the only problem Good Luck

Is there a reset button for rca tv model p52731wk

You can try a hard reset with this model. It requires unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for at least four hours. There are numerous set codes for this model, but it all depends upon the problem you are experiencing. There is no singular "reset button," though, as the system was simply too complex in its day to warrant one.

Durabrand TV BH20040 - - - weird picture problem. HELP!

Unplug the TV overnight and hopefully that will reset any menu changes you have done. I will attempt to find a link to the manual, but I have been unsuccessful in the pass as Durabrand is a Walmart house brand.

TV locking itself

I'm assuming you read the manual and it was no help?

If your tv doesn't have a reset button, one possible solution is to unplug it and leave it unplugged for thirty seconds, then plug it back in. If that doesn't solve the problem, try leaving it unplugged for four hours.

Black static on tv

This is due the defective capacitance you need change the capacitors: I would recommend going to the following link and getting the service manual so you can see first hand disassembly instructions and testing procedures. Its only 10.99 and they email it to you shortly after purchase. The manual is a valuable resource as it will have part numbers in case you do need a new KD board. heres the link.

Good luck.....................

Sony FD Trinitron WEGA

Here's my suggestion , unhook all the external components to the TV and leave the TV unplugged for more than a few minutes (a day/overnight). The next day plug the TV into the wall outlet (not the powerstrip) without anything hooked up to it, and turn it on. See if it comes on. Sometimes unplugging for a few minutes/hours is not long enough for it to reset itself.

Panasonic Tv Child lock on

It's likely there isn't a way to reset this without hooking it up to specialized equipment. However, there is one thing you could try.

Unplug the TV, and leave it unplugged for 24 hours. That should be sufficient time for the settings to be lost. After that, plug it in, and try the factory reset again. This may or may not work, depending on what the default settings are and whether there is an internal battery backing up your settings.

Short of that, I think you're going to have to take it in to a repair center, or put up with the lock.
