On some models of toshiba laptops they can only be reset by a toshiba laptop repair center. I believe your laptop is one of them. How it works is when you turn the laptop on there is a special keycode combination that you push and then you have to call advanced technical support and they give you a special code back to unlock it. Advanced Technical support will only talk to Toshiba repair center techs.

Hope this helps. Toshiba Customer Service 1-800-457-7777

Ok first off im assuming u forgot the old one or a friend is playing a cruel joke or something along these lines. :-) ok the only way to reset it would be to take the bios battery out witch means you have two options do it yourself and pay nothing or pay someone online or take it to a shop (If you dont have knowledge of the internals on a computer i do not suggest you take ur labtop apart exspecially considering the retail price of your labtop i own one also lol but seeing that i awnsered ur problem how about u awnser mine lol its about a piece that comes with the labtop when bought

Whats the trick to get into the BIOS of a Qosmio G15R-AV501?

Try F2 as soon as you turn on the laptop or even try F12 cause that would get you to the boot menu and you can choose enter setup from that point.

Toshiba Qosmio g15 av501 Bios password lost

This information is intended for experienced users. It is not intended for basic users, hackers, or computer thieves. Please do not try any of following procedures if you are not familiar with computer hardware. I'll not be responsible for the use or misuse of this information, including personal injury, loss of data or hardware damage. So use it at your own risk.
A. By Using the Motherboard Jumper:
In most motherboards CMOS battery is soldered, which makes it difficult to remove the battery. In this case we use another method.
Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don't have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery. Most of the manufacturer label the jumper as CLR, CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, etc.
When you find the jumper, look carefully. There will be 3 pins and the jumper will be joining the center pin to either left or right pin. What you need to do, is remove the jumper and join the center pin to the opposite pin. e.g. if the jumper joins center pin to left pin, then remove it and join center pin to right pin. Now wait for a few seconds and then again remove the jumper and join the center pin to left pin.
Make sure to turn the PC off before opening the cabinet and resetting the jumper.

B. By Using Software:

I have found that BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is a program that works instantly to remove any lost or forgotten BIOS/CMOS password. Simply boot your PC to DOS and execute the program, and get access to forgotten BIOS/CMOS passwords in just seconds

I went to the Intel site and downloaded the Intel® PRO/100 VE Network Connection driver here. It worked great. Now if I could find the right audio/multimedia drivers I'd be happy. Hope this helps.

Toshiba Qosmio G15-AV501 red lines in lcd hi i have a problem toshiba qosmio power on password.its model number(pqf10a-015008).how to solved the password removed.

pop the keyboard and look on the board next to the clock battery. You should see three jumper points, WITH THE POWER OUT AND ALL BATTERIES DISCONNECTED, short terminals 1 and 2 with the end of a flat bladed screwdriver. Replace all power sources and reconnect the power.
