Question about Symbol MC9060-G
I have the MC9060-G handheld barcode scanner and the screen displays the initial program loader (IPL) menu and nothing more. Selecting system reset returns the unit to IPL mode. I have the unit in a symbol docking station, and my Windows XP computer cannot see the docking station. I would like to keep what remaining hair I have left, so if there is anyone who can help me with this issue I'd greatly appreciate it.
The scanner was previously working fine; it was returned to IT in IPL mode. Removing the battery for several days and replacing with a fresh battery only sends the system back to IPL mode. I'm guessing that the system has lost it's mind and needs to be reloaded, however, my pc cannot see the unit in the docking station.
Windows Active Sync will not recognise a scanner in IPL mode. You need to install the Symbol Device Configuration Package that is applicable to your scanner/cradle. Once installed and configured you can use SDCP to restore the Hex files needed for basic operation. All the files and loader software can be found at http://support.symbol.com/support/product/softwaredownloads.do

I tryed to reinstall OS on Motorola MC9090 via TCM utility. Unfortunatly i mixed the right pattern of HEX files and now the terminal is not able to boot even in IPL mode. Just a "brick". Is there any way to fix to this problem, or this device is no longer repairable without Motorola service?

That's right it has nothing to do what OS your PC has.. it will not recognise the scanner unless you downloaded the symbol configuration i believe, TCM once downloaded you will need a cleanboot file from symbol website according to your MC9000 series model.. the step is quite simple... first release battery half way then press trigger and power button at the same time, then push the battery in do not let go of the trigger and power once IPL Mode display on your scanner screen release power button, but do not let go of the trigger, docked the scanner onto cradle the release trigger, open TCM program by then all necessary drivers for your mobile scanner must be installed onto PC.. navigate up and down arrow to partition on your scanner the select, go to your pc browse the PT file and drop down arrow select symbol usb then download, follow this process to remaining file like the next file would be.. Application,Platform,OS,Monitor once the last step is done the scanner will boot up to factory default.... there you go.. have fun...
