Hi,i need help on IR 4570 copier whereby paper gets stuck in the heater roller. This occurs after every 3-5 copies. Nothing is blocking the paper path because it stops after it has passed halfway the heater roller. I tried replacing all paper feed rollers with new ones and it worked fine for 3 days and the problem resumed. Please help me out of this problem.

Re: repeated paper jam in the fuser unit
There could be two problems with the copier:
1. There has been a Canon mod for the two pads already suggested earlier. Remove the two pads and place a foam strip that is runs across the top of the lower right access door basically between those two pads. This creates more even pressure across the deflector for the upper paper cassette.
The style of roller above the exit for the paper cassette is now gray in color instead of black.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

An overheated fuser is one of the most common causes of a paper jam. When large loads of print jobs are pushed through a printer, the fuser slowly starts to warm up. As the fuser warms up, the heat causes the corners of the printer paper to bend. The hotter the fuser gets, the more the paper bends. Eventually the paper bends so much that it causes the paper to get stuck in the fuser, causing a jam.
If you cannot find any other reason for a continuous printer jam, the problem may be the roller. A cracked roller can easily grab a piece of paper and get it caught. A glazed-over or dirty roller can also cause the paper to get caught on the roller and jam the printer. If the roller is cracked or glazed, you may need to call your print technician or replace the roller.
Hi, You didnt wrote where it is the paper jam. Here are few common jams:
if the paper jams in fuser unit, do/check next:clean the paper delivery rollers ( when you open left door its two roller on axis beneath the drum ), check the sensor flapper beneath the drum unit if its worn out you need to replace it, does the paper comes out like bent in the roll? open fresh pack of the paper and try again it could be moisture fault.
the paper stucks in pickup section, clean the paper pickup, feed and separation roller, to do that remove paper drawer and you will be able to see the rollers on left inner side.Open the lower leftside door and check the paper senzor in the middle. You can apply some wd40 on spring of flapper or on left side bushing.
dadf jam, check for any paper leftovers and clean the paper pickup and feed rollers
"Z FOLD" of jamed paper is usual when paper goes from cass. towards registration roller, and registration clutch doesnt operates.
Do you have problems with A4 double sided too?
Where does the jam occures? In wich section?
I had few cases, when the paper stucked above fixing unit in small inner door, wich guides paperout or back in duplex, for second side copying. The problem was in spring and solenoid wich lifts the paper guide plastic with finger.
It also could be case that you need to replace paper pickup, feed and separation roller in cassete where is A3 paper, and clean other rollers.
Try to put paper in "good" cassete, from wich you do not have problems.Just swap papers, and set correct paper sizes, and if it works then the problem is 70% in rollers.
On the place where the paper stucks, clean the paper rollers, by rotating it and cleaning with alcohol or water and dry it verry well.
Hope that helped.

HI i think you have a bad upper fuser roller thats why the paper rolled up with it or maybe there are finge clow are not good first of all just remove paper and just clean the upper fuser roller with fuser oil if yours fuser roller and finger clow are not damaged it will work fine enjoy
There are many reasons for jams in the exit of machines and I will list the most common for you
damp paper will curl as soon as it hits the fuser rollers... the fix - change paper
the fuser rollers are worn (teflon coating is no longer able to deflect toner) and jams are occurring.... the fix - replace the fuser unit
you need do follow steps:
1) check fuser unit, the fuser hot roller is hot or not? if not the fuser heater fail.
2) check hot roller should spin with the pressure roller which is against hot roller, and check there is no gap between them, and also nothing pieces paper obstruct there, because if it losts pressure balance that jam should be occured there.
3) check the output roller after fuser unit(if there is), check them are spin or not, this roller kit use for pull the paper goes out the tray. if not spin means the roller drive belt or gear loosen.
3) check paper sensor that is micro swtch around pulling roller or output area and to clean it (could be a optical sensor).
hope help you something fixed, please take a rating let me know how much helped you thanks! keep in touch your question
Your jam is in the fuser section of the machine. Unfortunately this area this area is not for users to access. You will need to remove covers to get to the fuser unit. You may be able to access the paper by removing the whole drum unit (make sure you remove the toner cartridge first). Then look into the machine to the left. You may see the tail end of the document for removal. Otherwise, you will eed a service manual to dis-assemble it yourself.
Remove drum unit. check charge wire for contamination. clean or replace. Visually check fuser for an even glossy appearance. If it looks dry or damaged in any way a service is needed. IBT is a bit more difficult to check. If you have the know how to remove it. You should see a very shiny surface free from contamination of toner or paper dust, ect. clean if necessary and replace. If contamination reoccurs suspect cleaner. Last is the BTR check for proper operation and clean, repair or adjust if necessary.
