Question about Bose 3 2 1 GSX System

1 Answer

Bose 123 My Bose will play all trailers on a DVD with full sound but when the actual film plays I get only the backing sound and no overlaying voice track. The machine is a couple of years old and had previously operated with no problem.

Thanks lofwyr2050 problem sorted. I'll also speak with Bose to check the software update situation but all appears to working fine again.

My friend's 321 system started doing the same thing, but it happens every time the volume is adjusted while watching a movie. The workaround has been to pause the movie, change the input source with the remote and it works fine until the volume has to be changed again...

Reset the system by unplugging the power cord and wait a minute before reconnecting power. The vocals will return. You should also contact Bose to see if your system needs a software update.

My bose lifestyle 48 say resolutio not supported when i try to play a dvd but i have sound without a picture. how can this be fixed

Is it a copied DVD or DVD-R / RW? If if says resolution not supported then it means that the DVD has a video format that cannot be played on the Bose even though the sound track is fine. The DVD may work fine on a PC as these can usually play more file types, but it could be a number of things causing it not to work and unfortunatetly there is nothing you can do.

I have a Bose Lifestyle 35 Series II and want to know whether it's compatible with a DVD+RW. I'll burn it in a Toshiba recorder, finalize it and then play it on the Bose. Will it play?

Hi This what Bose say about formats

"The Lifestyle® 35 system plays DVD-video in interlaced format, as well as music on CD, CD-R (recordable) and CD-RW (re-writable). The system also plays MP3 files on CD and AM/FM radio. "

So by the sound of this i suspec that you may struggle with DVD/RW. but my best advice is try it.

When watching a DVD, the surround sound plays all background music but the actors voices are not heard - can hear music and voices in 2 speaker only - TV programs play in 2, 3, and 5 speaker mode.

If there is nothing at all from the center channel while watching a DVD, first try resetting the system (unplug the power cord from the sub, and the DC power cord from the media center for 30+ seconds) If a reset doesn't help this, run the "adaptIQ" setup disc again. Honestly, this is a very odd problem for that system to have. (especially since we know the center speaker works for other sources) I hope this helps.

The speach during a movie sounds muffled

Hello,
Please download Instruction Manual of DAV-DZ260 from Sony Support and go to page 25 and select appropriate sound option.
The disc in player doesn't match with current sound selection thats why you hear muffled sound.
Thank you.
