Simplest solution first; check your cables. If the connections are good, but it still doesn't work, try your monitor with another computer. If it works, you need to update the drivers on your computer. If it doesn't,
the problem is with the monitor. If your computer needs drivers from LG for the monitor, you need access to another computer (or another monitor to go online). Go to LG's website and look for SUPPORT. Download drivers for your monitor specific to your operating system (Windows, Mac OSX, etc.) and install.
disconnect all the cables except the power cable and then turn the monitor on you would see a test screen if it still happens your monitor is faulty and better buy a new one as repairing is usually expensive .
I have the same monitor & just had same problem. Did you find a solution to your problem? This is the second time my monitor has done this. The first time I had problem i unplugged it and disconnected it from pc. Plugged it into power source and blue pilot light came on then went off. I did see the LG logo on screen before it shut down. After several times doing this and pressing the power switch repeatedly it seemed to reset and recognized it was not receiving a signal and indicated this. I then reconnected monitor to pc and all appeared to work fine for several days. Now I again have same problem after sitting over night.
try to set your screen resolution to maximum using Display Settings in windows. Besides, are all software drivers for this monitor loaded and properly installed? Right click My Computer=>Properties. select hardware => device manager. Make sure video icons are not marked with question marks. if they are, install monitor drivers shipped with your monitor.
I had a similar problem with an LG monitor that I resolved by connecting the analogue cable as well as the digital cable from the pc. This problem must be caused by the monitor not receiving a digital signal.
