Intermittent blue circle on display

I have a Panasonic CT-26WX15 set, and sometimes there is a circular area of the screen with a heavy blue tint. It does not seem to show up on all channels, and is not there when playing DVDs. Any ideas?

Yes this is certaintly a strange one, as you say not all channels have it?? Ok lets try to narrow it down a bit. Do you have cable or satallite ? Is the cable or sat. connectected through the video inputs or does your TV have to be on a certain channel? ok and you say its not there when your watching a dvd? The only answer here is that you have a problem with your cable or the sat system, as the channel stays the same on whatever channel your watching while on the cable, so if you have a problem with some and not others , Your TV dosent know the differance from one channel or another, as its always on the same channel on the tv . So what does this tell you?? Theres a problem with the sat or cable reciver! Cant be the TV as I said the TV doent know the differance from one channel to another as it always stays on the same channel. Sounds like you need toi have cable come in to check the impedence and signal streinth.. now if your sying thast the tvs on locals and some do it and others dont ?? then theres outside interference causeing this problem? Good luck

Hi,

you would need to use your display settings to change the tint. There might be a tint or a hue option that you can press with the display settings. Thank you.

Normal screen is white background, but lately I am getting a blue tint that clears up sometimes and sometimes not. Please advise

Try hooking up another knowng working monitor to the computer and see if the blue tint comes back intermittently.

If it still comes up then you know your video card is the culprit. If the blue tint goes away then you know the original monitor is bad.

Line across middle of screen.

The line of color is due to a failure in the vertical circuit. The main suspects are the vertical Ic AN15525A and/or capacitor c308 220uf@35volts
If you have the capacity to do so, you should check the other electrolytic capacitors in the vertical circuit which are USUALLY located near the vertical IC in most cases
you can purchase the part at

or mcm electronics

Dark area on screen

If it's a circular area you might be delaing with magnetism. Check the menu and there should be a control for geomagnetic correction and adjust accordingly.
