Question about SMC EZ Connect g SMC2862W-G 802.11g/b Wireless Adapter
I've tried to setup a wireless connection between a Linksys WRT54G router and a SMC2862W-G adapter. The network is currently not secured. The SMC adapter will pickup a few available networks but it does not see the Linksys network. The router is broadcasting its SSID, channel 11 is used.
A laptop at the same location is picking up and can connect to the Linksys router.
It shows that your wireless router and wireless adapters are both working. One thing to try is changing your wireless channel. Since you are already using 11, try maybe 1 or 9. Check if your SMC adapter will pick up the wireless signal.
By the way, how far is your computer (using the SMC adapter) to your wireless router?
