Yes i have had the same problem, many times, my son forgets to check his pockets and coins get caught in the pump... after the third time i had a service tech out to my house i asked him to show me how to fix it and he did... you have to take the pump off and look for anything stuck inside the pump, i just had to do this again yesterday... the tech told me he has 12 calls a day for this exact thing.. kinda of a bad design..... ya think.

We have had the same problem and the dealer has come out twice to reprogram the computer. I have not been there, but evidently they can do this with the buttons on the front. They seem to clear the codes like a PCM on a car. The first time it worked for another week and did the same thing. Perhaps they do not know about these causes of the problems or it is another flaw in the design of this over priced piece of ****. If I had the codes I could clear it myself and finish washig the clothes. This usually happens on a weekend when we have time to do the wash.

First I would check the hose screens are clean .and check that you have enough water going the machine it will time out ant the forced rinse and not spin... next check if the drain pump is removing all the water.. if not check it , make sure it is clear . next check that the door lock light is on... if not you have a door lock problem... if all are OK then we can check the control and motor control.

1} unscrew the hoses check the screen inside the water valve.

2} open the soap dispencer and watch how much water flows if it take 6 min or more for the water to stop then it take too long to fill..

    3) if the washer still has water in it after the door unlock... you have a drain problem...

Hello, My Kenmore, Model 110 92582110, stock#25821 will wash but it does not spin or drain. However, If I turn the timer and keep putting in spin mode, eventually it will spin and drain out the water....

By advancing the timer wheel to spin, you are able to get the machine to do what you require, however, the timer itself may need replacement if it does not proceed thru the cycles by itself..It sounds like your timer is 86.

Tip

Winterizing a Washing Machine

If you keep your washer in area where you need to winterize for the winter (unheated garage or unoccupied vacation home), the following steps may provide you with some helpful guidance in preparing before extreme temperatures occur and possibly leave you with damaged plumbing and/or a ruined appliance.<br /> <br /> <b><u>TOP LOADERS</u></b>:<br /> <br /> 1. Turn off the main water supply to both water taps.<br /> <br /> 2. Remove the fill hoses, drain them of all water and reinstall them - leave water supply turned OFF.<br /> <br /> 3. Add 1 gallon of Recreational Vehicle (RV) antifreeze (non-toxic) to an empty wash tub.<br /> <br /> 4. Select the DRAIN/SPIN function on the timer and allow the washer to run for one minute to drain the antifreeze from the wash tub, and any water remaining in the drain pump or drain lines. <br /> <br /> NOTE: Not all the antifreeze will drain. A small amount will remain in the drain pump and line (this is normal).<br /> <br /> 5. STOP or CANCEL the timer on the washer and UNPLUG.<br /> <br /> 6. Wipe down and dry the wash tub.<br /> <br /> 7. Clean the detergent dispenser and fabric softener dispenser and ensure they are dry.<br /> <br /> 8. Store washer, unplugged in an upright position.<br /> <br /> <br /> <b><u>FRONT LOADER</u></b>:<br /> <br /> 1. Select the DRAIN/SPIN function on the timer and allow the washer to run for one minute to drain the antifreeze from the wash tub and any water remaining in the drain pump or drain lines. <br /> <br /> NOTE: Not all the antifreeze will drain. A small amount will remain in the drain pump and line (this is normal).<br /> <br /> 5. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to halt the cycle and UNPLUG the appliance.<br /> <br /> 6. Wipe down and dry the wash tub.<br /> <br /> 7. IMPORTANT: Check the perimeter of the door bellow (gray rubber seal) and make sure no small articles of clothing are left in the rubber folds. Clean this area thoroughly and dry. NOTE: Anything left behind will mildew over a period of time causing foul odors.<br /> <br /> 8. Clean the detergent dispenser drawer of any remaining water or fabric softener residue.<br /> <br /> 9. Store washer, unplugged in an upright position.<br /> <br /> <b><i><u>Secondary Method</u></i></b>: <br /> <br /> If you cannot find RV antifreeze (or prefer not to use it), another method of draining the washer is to remove the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum on the line with a wet/dry shop vac. This will pull any remaining water from the drain pump and lines. <br /> <br /> If a shop vac is not available, lowering the drain hose from the standpipe to the floor will allow it to drain using simple gravity. <u>IMPORTANT</u>: On a front loader, you may have to remove the drain line from the drain pump to drain the pump. Or, use the access cover (if equipped). Most front loader pumps are accessed by removing the lower panel directly below the door.<br /> <br /> <b><i><u>Taking the Washer out of Winter Storage</u></i></b>:<br /> <br /> To remove antifreeze from the washer following storage, run the appliance on a complete cycle with detergent and NO garments added.<br /> <br /> I hope you find this information helpful. If you have any questions, please let me know.<br /> <br /> <br />

Washer stops during normal wash cycle for a minute or more, and then continues. Would replacing the timer fix it?

If it actually goes on and finishes the cycle and that really bothers you replace it. If not leave it alone and allow a little more time to complete its cycle. The lid switch only keeps the spin cycle from going with the top open.

Displaying error number F02

Hi there
OK i give you what you need to read so you know what it is. Hope this gets you in the right direction.
F/02 Long Drain
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.
NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  • Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
  • Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
  • If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.
Thank you for writing to fix ya.
Best regards Richard

Washer agitates, drains OK, but spin doesn't start

Timer is defective. Your unit has a netural drain. When finished agitating, the shuts down and then starts up reversing to drain and spin. On the initial reverse start, the water drains without the transmission spinning. After a timed period 3-4 minutes, the timer is supposed to pause, stopping the motor for a few seconds. When the motor stops again, the transmission shift to the spin cycle and when the timer resumes power tothe motor it should spin. You are doing the same thing when you lift the lid...stopping the timer and then the tranny shifts and when you set the lid down, the washer spins. Replace the timer.......

Gets stuck on timer and wont count down

We had a similar situation with our LG washer. It was not a timer problem.
The machine was not entering the spin cycle and was just stuck in limbo. A sensor or something was not being satisfied and allowing the progression to the next cycle. Our problem had to do with the drain line; it seemed as if it was air locked?? After lowering the drain line height (to reduce the head pressure), and manually draining some water out of the drainage cap (where the strainer is located) onto the floor, the sensor became satisfied and the machine completed its cycles properly.

What told me that it was not a timer issue was the fact that on different wash settings (normal, heavy, quick cycle), the machine timer would get stuck at different countdown points (22mins, 12mins, etc.).
