(1) If you have connected windows cpu to monitor then when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode then go to control panel ->display property -=>settings change screen resolution to 1024*768.
then check .
(2)But if you are not able to see any display on screen then open cpu cabinet and refix ram memory pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes ,if there is any pci card or vga card installed on motherboard reattach it into motherboard. Then check.

RAM Upgrade for a ASUS Motherboard

Easiest thing to do is to go to www.crucial.com and run their Scan program. It will tell you what kind of memory you need, how much you now have, and the max your system can handle.

Check the CPU temprature from the BIOS. Sometimes if the CPU overheats the system will automatically reboot. High CPU tempratures goes form (60-70). You can also monitor the fan speed and cpu temprature using this utility

Boots up for ~15 sec. then shuts down

Usually a motherboard will shut the system down to save itself. So check that the fans are spinning and that the heatsink is properly seated. You should also test in a minimum configuration be removing all add in cards, disconnecting all drives and unnecessary cables, and removing all but one memory module. If this doesn't point out the faulty components then either the motherboard (most likely) or CPU (less likely) is faulty.

It's probably your pci-e slot of the motherboard problem. Try using different motherboard.

Monitor Problem

Well assuming you used the same video cable when you tested the monitor on the Asus PC you?re left with: - Physical problem with the Asus video card. - Asus video card configuration problem. - BIOS configuration problem - Possibly a problem with the DVI/VGA adaptor depending on the answer below. A couple of questions about the Asus before we start: - I?m not sure I understand how the DVI/VGA converter figures into this. Is your cable coming off the monitor DVI thus you need it to plug into the Asus VGA connector? If yes who is the manufacturer of the device and what model do you have? - Has the Asus worked in the past with another monitor or is this new? - What is its history/configuration?
