Check that all of the cables are pluged in correctly then if still not working try uninstalling it and reinstalling it again.

Gateway computer serial # 0028346288 - Ports on front of computer do not work. Also, printer works but computer show, "printer offline". Any suggestions as to this problem?

Hi,

You have not mentioned the Operating System on your PC and also the Printer which you are using.

First step is to Right click on the printer icon and click SET PRINTER ONLINE and Turn off the printer and turn on and try to print

If you are using Windows 7 Operating system,
Right click on the printer icon and Click on TROUBLESHOOT
Follow the instructions and this will resolve the issue.

Our hp color laserjet printer is not printing... all the ink cartridges are new and inserted correctly... we have no idea what's wrong

There can be a number of things that are wrong so bear with me as I list some suggestions or possible solutions.

Always, ensure that your cables are securely connected between the PC/Printer and your AC Power cord is securely plugged into the outlet as well as the back of the printer. Additionally, make sure that the printer isn't indicating an internal problem such as low toner, paper jam or some error code on it's display. If everything on the printer appears to be normal, proceed to the next paragraph, If there are any error codes or messages on your printers display, you'll need to look those up to clear those issues before proceeding.

Open your print queue in your computer, (Control Panel > Printers> HP Color Laser or name of your printer) verify that your printer is seen as the "Default" printer and that it isn't currently selected to work "Offline".

If it shows that it is the "Default" printer, and it is NOT selected to "work offline", then let's try the next step. If for some reason it isn't the "Default" printer, you can select it to be so. If for some reason it shows that it is "Offline" uncheck that selection.

Under your printer "Properties" (right click on your printer, bottom selection on the drop down menu) you will have a "Self Test" button. Click this button (only once), observe your printer and see if it prints a test page.

If your printer shows no error messages, all cables are secured (always double check), your printer doesn't show it is offline in the printers queue, it properly prints the test page then at this point it should be working correctly.

If the steps I have mentioned above don't work, please provide more detail as to the printer model, any changes that you have recently made (software installed, cartridges changed, etc.) and we will find you a solution.

Cannot print maps or directions from Mapquest or Yahoo or certificates from on-line surveys. All used to print. Recent change is is adding Adobe 9.1. Advice, please? Thanks!

First start by trying to print from the file menu. A new window will open showing you a choice of printers, select your printer and select ok.

If it prints then possibly Adobe changed your default printer settings.

Again open the printer and faxes folder.
If there is more than 1 printer showing, Select the printer you want to use as the default and select ok.

Hope this helps, Have a great day

Printer wont print

That's not a PC Desktop problem, it's a thinly described printer or OS or cabling problem. Read the fine manual for your operating system and check your printer's settings and queue to make sure the printer's not set to be 'offline.' Next!
