Question about Juicelady JL500 Juice Extractor

Open Question

Need Juicelady arms/slamps to repair unit in otherwise good working order:

Unit works, however clamps/arms that hold unit together are not made as well as the rest of the unit, being of fairly flimsy plastic. One is broken, and so we would like to order a pair, to replace the one that is broken, and to have a spare. These should be made of metal, no? We cannot locate a place in Canada that stocks them. The place recommended does not ship to Canada, & they do have them in stock in their U.S. warehouse, but not at their Canadian depot, & will not ship it to Canadian depot, as they are no longer (that model at least) making that model/unit. They had a pair for 20.00 plus Shipping, but if they will not ship it to me, I am stuck. IS there a place either in Canada, or the U.S. that has this item, & will ship it to me?

If you live in Canada you may have to get them to send it to a friend or relative in the states--they have this part, but not at their Cdn depot, & they won't ship to Canada, or their depot for you...of course you can always try. If you live in the U.S. you are fine.

They break. The latch arm is one piece, spring and all. So if any part of it is still in the
juicer it's broken. Order a pair from Omega and have them walk you through replacing
them.

use two screwdrivers as the pins and move them together as if they were a unit. Have someone else hold the filter for you.

Juicelady juicer dead after 10 uses


This may sound silly, but have you tried plugging it in to a different outlet in your kitchen-i.e. (as in an outlet that is on a different breaker? or fuse?) I thought our slow cooker was toast--& it was the outlet, not the unit. When we are busy or tired & frustrated sometimes we can overlook the simpilest things.

Is it possible you have a defective cord? Taking it to a repair place is your best bet if either of those ideas don't help. Call to get an estimate first--call around to parts & repair depots in your city/area, as the cost can vary widely. Some are very reasonable while others make you wish you'd replaced it instead!

Or ask around for a retired repairman that does repairs occasionally. They often charge a lot less-but you may have to pick up the part once he/she's identified the problem. Also--trade schools that teach repairs to small appliances may fix it for a nominal fee--or even just for the cost of the part--if a part is involved.

I also have a Juicelady, & need a part(s) HEre is a probable solution to your problem!

In the U.S.A. or Canada call 1-800-233-9054 to order the part. Or see if they have it in stock.They will ask for your address & phone number. Have your serial number ready-it should be on the bottom (or possibly the side) and you may need a magnifying glass to read it! It starts with the letters JL, and mine was JL500 (so look for that-but your may be a different model, I gave you mine so you have an idea of what to look for.)

The same warehouse is also at foxinternational.com if you'd rather see what they offer that way--but we got our call answered after waiting les than a minute. They even had the part we require but won't ship to Canada, so if your Canadian--call anyway, as it is a different part than we required,( the arms that brace the unit together.)

Have your model # handy it starts with JL (ours is JL500, but yours may be different--you made need a magnifying glass to read it.) It is on the bottom of the unit, most likely--or, on the side. No way to send the fruits & vegetables through:/


1-800-233-9054, or online at foxinternational.com if you are in the U.S.A. I am pretty certain they will have it. I lost mine--& use a long carrot to push whatever through. If some of the carrot gets juiced--no problem. It is good for you, & tasted great!
