this is where I found the user manual for the fuji finepix s5100. it is a pdf file you can download to your computer, open this file and go to page 76. this will walk you through the steps to format you memory card. I also have had that problem several different times. once I formatted the card everything was fine each time.

The media card may simply be defective, in which case you should purchase another.

Hi shellyanne, I think that you are not formatting your memory card regularly. This problem can be solved by formatting memory card in to the camera.Do this 2-3 times after downloading immages to pc. Then u get cards to be initilized....

I just bought two 2g memory cards to find out my C-750 only suports up to 512. I read that Olympus now has a firmware update which will allow for up to 1G memory card, is this true?

Currently, Olympus has released only two updates for this camere model that are Pictbridge Firmware update and USB Auto-connect Driver for Windows 98/SE.
None of the above Firmware updates are meant to extend the memory card usage.

Reads CARD FULL, can't view the pics, reads NO IMAGE

Sounds like the card has died. unfortunatly this can happen. and could be caused by a number of things including static.

you can maybe try a disk repair in windows.
hit your windows key and press r at the same time. in the command line type CMD and hit enter, it will open up a DOS window. type CHKDSK ?: /f where teh question mark is, is the drive letter that windows has assigned the card when you insert it. if it is an error that is repairible this might work.

i can get mine to work with a 512 mb sd card but not with a 4 gb. I am thinking maybe it cant read sdhc but only regular sd. i wish i had a 2 gb to test this. The manual says max images 512. wonder if that is 512 mb or 512 count. When i put in 4 gb card it says wait and stays like that , 512 card it imeditally shows pics

Camera won't take picture

A quick question. Are you using an xD card that is larger than 256 MB? If so, I contacted Olympus about this very issue. The maximum capacity of xD cards my camera would recognize was 256 MB. According to the Olympus rep. the camera does support up to 512 MB, but required a firmware upgrade and needed to be sent in for this. My wife's Canon camera had no such limitations and even has better quality.
