Memory Full/Format disk

HP Photosmart 320 camera. Asked if card needs formatting. When I tried to use it said card full. Brand new card.

The camere tells me my card requires formatting, so I choose 'Yes.'
But then nothing happens, I can't take pictures because it says my card is full, even if it's empty. But I can't put anything on it either, and whenever I try to go to the settings it says the card requires a formatting.

Recovering memory stick data can be tough, you can try recuva ( This is a very good tool for recovering data, it includes a quick scan and a deep scan.

If the recovery works or you decide the data doesn't matter or you wish to use the card again, then to format it (this will delete EVERYTHING on the card) for normal use then the HP USB disk storage format tool is the best for this, I know it says USB, but it works for cards too:
Be careful when using this tool, ensure you have the correct drive letter selected.

I have an HP 320 and tried to use my newly purchased Kingston 2GB memory card. I get the message

The HP Photosmart 320 camera is too old to accept a 2 GB card. It can only handle an SD memory card up to 128 MB. (The detailed specs for the camera are available from HP here: or refer to the User Manual, also available from HP's support site for the Photosmart 320. The information is on page 61 (page 63 of the pdf).) Amazon lists a Kingston 128MB card for ~$9 here: .

I hope this helps and I wish that I had better news for you.

I have a 2 g memory card which when full I uploaded to my PC and then deleated all photos from the memory card I tried to use this card again but the camera tells me the memory card is full also it tells...

Exactly the same problem occurred with my San Disk 1GB micro-SD Memory Card. And I solved this problem formatting my micro-SD Memory Card using a software which you can download by clicking here.

To format your micro-sd card:

- First plug in your micro-sd card into you PC.

- Run the installed "HPUSBFW_2.2.3_MASTER.exe" file.

- In the program menu window, select the device (your memory card).

- Select FAT32 as file system,

- Confirm that all the format options unchecked. (Uncheck the quick format option)

- And click the "Start" button to begin formatting.

That's all my friend. This solved my problem and I hope this helps you too.

Memory card reads full but there is nothing on it. i have formatted it multiple times and it still reads full and it is brand new how can i fix this problem?

Check if your PC has virus/spyware. Run malwarebytes. Check from Disk Management, and format from there, change the file system for NTFS/XFAT (Vista). Check if its a product is 1st formated in MAC, and you are using on Windows. If this is the senario then you need to format it using mac again. Most cases its a spyware/virus. Else take it back to store and get it formated, or they will replace it. :)

When i put the memory card in my digital camera, it says filesys error: e00100, and then it tells me that the memory is full, i just bought the memory card new.

Okay this means that there is a problem with the card. Can you Plug your card directly into your computer? If you can I need you to reformat the card. If you need instructions on how to do this Just ask. If that does not work I will continue to assist you to help you resolve your problem in the most efficient manner possible.

Neither my camera nor my computer with XP PRO OS can identify this memory stick

You will need to reformat the card: 1. Place the card in the reader 2. Right click on the drive letter for the reader 3. Choose format 4. Choose full format with no label 5. Finish the format 6. Test card. It should now be working correctly. Note: Certain cameras may require that you also format the card in the camera.
