Re: lens(?) issue

Hi, your problem is relating to focus. It is not the right way to hit the camera against hand to get clear picture. It may cause serious problem. Actually your camera is not able to focus, it may be because of mechanical jamm of lens. Camera needs service. I suggest you to go to nearest repair shop or Samsung shop. They can handle it better. good luck.

My DSC-T10 Sony Digital Camera fell down and now the new pictures taken are coming Blurry (hazy). My old pictures in the memory stick shows perfect. Please advise what could have happened.

Based on the information you've provided, it seems that the Lens Mechanism of the Camera is damaged when it fell down. The Lens of the Camera is not focusing properly while capturing the images. As the issue is with the lens mechanism, the previously captured images are displaying normally. I suggest that you try resetting the Camera and check if the issue can be resolved.

Performing a manual power reset

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.

To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the SET UP1 Menu of the Camera to OK.This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.

If the issue persists, service may be required.

Thanks for contacting FixYa.

Blurry images

If it is brand new, return the camera, and show what is happening.
The blurry pictures has to do with a few things. A damaged lens system, a dirty lens, other damage to the lens while it was extended, water or moisture damage can also cause this, including internal circuit damage or broken parts.
Make sure it has not had an impact or other damage, because if it had, then more than likely you will have no warranty, and it will not be taken back by the store.

Everytime I take a picture it turns out blurry

Inside the lens their is a focus motor that has to be perfectly set if it get out of ajustment this will cause a blurry image it you try to zoom some times you may get a lens error this is because the lens has been obstructed from the inside by the focus lens. the lens eather needs to be replaced or may find a broke one off ebay with a good lens pretty cheap if you are going to try and repair it your self.

FD 200 MAVICa won't focus

Do yopu remember if the front (lens) area received a hit, even though with low force?

I am asking because in most MVC-FD cameras I opened to fix them about the same focus problem, I did find that an internal bracket that holds the lens assembly, it was bent due to an external force or hit in the front.

The bent bracket really was not the problem. The reason of the focus issue was that when the bracket was bent, the flat ribbon cable of the lens was pressed against a mounting screw, causing that the flat ribbon cable was damaged (punctured) affecting 2-3 traces of it, and preventing the lens to operate properly.

Repairing such problem requires to either replace the damaged flat ribbon cable, or the whole lens assembly.

You can get your hands in a broken camera with good lens assembly, and swap the parts.

Best regards,

If the lens is jammed in the out position you can try holding the camera firmly and tapping/hitting it against your hand with the camera on. The lens should then retract. If this doesn't work or if you are afraid of dropping it (do it on your bed, that way it doesn't hit the floor if you _do_ drop it), you can drop it on a wood/firm surface from an inch or so up and it should retract the lens. This solution ONLY WORKS IF THE LENS IS JAMMED.

Blurry Pics and not able to set date/time

You can only set the date stamp in the “Post Card” resolution mode. Hit the “function” button, go down to the resolution selection (L, M, S, W, Postcard, etc.). Pick the “Post Card” setting. Hit the “menu” button and the “date stamp” menu will be active
